- The campus is not very big and not much to explore.
- The campus is a bit difficult to access from the town as it is above a hill.
- The college does not have a proper hostel facility for boys.
Course Curriculum Overview
The kalam technological university is surely not the best. It has got a lot of flaws, which they won't solve even after the students have mentioned the same since the beginning of the university. The college have to follow the same curriculum. A semester have to be taken within 2 months which causes trouble for the students.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have a really good idea about the internship opportunities available here since i have joined this college this year. But there are some internships available and final year projects are a must for passing.
Placement Experience
Students can register for placements since the third year. ( not really sure since i am in first year). The college provides decent packages considering the level of the college. Almost 65-70 percent of the students from cs dept got placed last year. Tcs, wipro are the top companies. Average package is abt 3.5-4 lakhs and it depends upon the dept. Currently i am planning to pursue masters after my BTech
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise tution fee is 40k. Additional fee will be applied for pta,lab etc. at the beginning. Total fee at the beginning was almost 56k. Scholarships are provided for obcs, sc, st and other communities as well.
Campus Life
The campus is overall decent. Since i am not from this place, it was nice to meet completely different people here. There are events happening from time to time. All the events are conducted by the union committee. The library is pretty good as well.
Admission
I attended the keam exam and got a rank of 10k. As the allotment was very competitive this year, this was the best possible option available for cs. And i preferred northern kerala more than the southern part. The admission process was through the cee website.
Faculty
The student to faculty is almost 1:65 in most of the first year classes. It gets better in higher classes. Most of the teachers are great except for some. Most of the teachers have grear qualifications and are always willing to help.
Night Life
Nightlife is not really a thing here. Even the canteen closes before 9. Boys residing in the hostel should have dinner before that. No gyms are available as well. Campus is only active in night during the events.
