Dislikes
- Didn't like the placements for the aids branch only 10-15 students get placed.
- The campus is too small. It only consists of 3-4 buildings.
- The labs are decent only. They are not that great and not even that many.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am from aids branch. This course consists of basic computer coding knowledge and data science technologies. I choose this course because of its relevance with the industry. This course can improve on the no of placements i.e on campus placements. There are 2 exams per semester but they are not that difficult
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided by college but they are not that high quality and one can't get any industry related skills through these internships. Students have to find and apply to companies by themselves which also increases their chances of getting placed.
Placement Experience
Placements are below average for aids branch. Students can sit for placements interviews from 7th semester i.e 4th year of degree. There are wipro, tcs, infosys, etc. companies that visit our clg. Highest package was 25lpa and lowest was 2.5 lpa. Almost 50% students get placed in companies. I will try for placements if not then I will pursue higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
I am paying 58,733/- per year because I belong to OBC category. From that Tution fees is:- 44221/- Development fees is:- 12558/- Other fees are:- 1954/- Fees for open category is 102954/- We get scholarship of 1200 to 1500 per year for OBC category
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. You will make friends very easily. There are many people who come form other cities to pune for their studies and this clg is excellent for them. Clg and students collaborate to organize annual events like samsara and ransangram as well as days like bolywood day, traditional day, etc. these events are the highlight of college life in pvg as they are regarded as the best in pune. Ransangram is a sports event organised by students for students to participate and show their sports capabilities. There are also many clubs such as cyber security club data science club dance club etc.
Admission
This is one of the top colleges In pune. This was the reason for me to choose this college. Comparing pvg with colleges like aissms, dy patil, modern, and many more pvg is far better in terms of placements. Didn't had the marks required to get to other colleges like vit viit pict coep pccoe etc so I choose pvg. I got a confirmed admission for keystone college but it is worse that pvg so I chose pvg. To get admission in pvg college you need to fill a form of cet. Mht cet is one of these examples. If you have passed 12th standard then apply for mht cet. If you completed your diploma then go for Direct second year cet. This is what I choose.
Faculty
There are 10-12 faculty members in our branch which consists of 60 students so great faculty to student ratio. In our branch pallavi ma'am is the best faculty member. There are no bad teachers in our branch There are 2 exams per semester. Insem and endsem exams Insem is of 30 marks and endsem is of 70 marks Almost all students pass these exams as they are relatively easy. These exams are made by sppu board and they are very industry oriented
Night Life
Nightlife is awesome as the clg is situated in the heart of city swargate. There are many cafes gyms, libraries etc. there is shaniwar vada dagdushet ganpati saras baug and many popular places within 15 min drive from college. The locality is safe and relatively busy even at night.
