College with good values

college is good , but do consider technical experience to be provided to student as technical degree can't rely just of theoretical vices it needs real time experience also. Besides do recruit some experienced faculty cz new inexperienced faculty can't fill the vacuum.

course is very diverse and tries to cover every aspect of mechanical engineering, but they are very few technical and practical courses in syllabus, hence at theory it is best but at real time experience and skilling it lags.

no, all the industrial training has to be done by students on their own budget , also their is no internship in technical field but college allows students an internship as a teacher , to teach juniors.

placements are not so sound and very poor, and often vary from branch to branch. as being situated in Kashmir, hence private companies also don't visit often for recruitment process. Hence students mostly have to go out the state or try for govt job.

college celebrates a no. of annual festival, cricket league, art fairs, basket ball matches, inter-college matches, picnics, awareness programmes like cleanliness drive, education awareness etc. besides holds fashion shows , outside state trips and inter-college visits, student exchange programme.

it is quiet feasible for those students who qualify by merit in the entrance examination , as they have to pay 40,000 approx per annum while as for management quota students the fees for per annum is around 2lacs.

college don't provide any of the facility for merit student , but do provide instalments facility for the management quota students and but ministry of minority affairs do provide some scholarship of 25,000 per annum to the eligible students.

college do have technical labs of engineering, besides have computer lab in each dept and their is open air theatre, one basket ball court , big open ground , but all these facilities are not that good also

I have not been hostel , as I am the local student so we had a bus facility , we used to come to college and go back to home in college bus only, rest facilities are not consistent e.g. Wi-Fi facility is very poor with very low speed.

There have been some good alumni but they were not helpful as they don't visit college, to come and inspire new students and share their experiences and vices about the journey after the college and opportunities a person might have.

exam structure is very elaborative, each year consists of 2 semester, and each semester has 1 minors and 1 external exams, after that dept will conduct viva of practical. once candidate pass all the exam in semester , he is promoted to other semester, incase of backlog student can join new semester but he has to pass backlog by re-exam with junior batch of same subject.

I qualified JKCET exam, then I secured 105 marks, and I was getting computer branch in MIET during my counselling but I chose SSM as my branch and computer science as branch first, but later I had to jammu for upgradation of my branch to mechanical.

some faculty is good and experienced , but new recruits especially pass out the same college, lacks experience and tries to gain experience while teaching but in a meanwhile it affects students education, as being taught by inexperienced teacher.
