Remarks
Positive points: location -located in the heart of city rohtak hence makes everything accessible. Infrastructure: one of the best buildings in India I would say and same was told to us by the students of BITS Pilani who came to give a workshop. Negative: placements were not up to the mark.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum is designed in such a way that it covers all the essential topics and one also gets to know the practical aspects of the engineering! There are many workshops conducted time to time and many clubs for different activities. One gets plenty of opportunities.
Internships Opportunities
No, college doesn't provide internship particularly but yes one can do projects in college after seeking permission and approval in the labs respective to the subjects in which one is interested. Faculty will also help if need be.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite normal. Though many companies like infosys, semi conductor companies, TCS etc visit the campus, the intake of students is very less. And one needs to make sure to get one by being future ready ie being good in aptitude and technical aspects. If I talk about me, I got placed in KPMG so it all depends on an individual.
College Events
There were many fest conducted in MDU like youth fest, zonal fest then interzonal and then national level. In these fests, there were many events like singing, dancing, one act play, Debates etc. Also, one could do volunteering if don't want to participate. Then we have normal parties like freshers', farewell etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. For my course ie b.tech we had to pay twice in a year and the fee varied. But the total amount to be paid in a year was around 72000/-. Also, we had to pay examination fee which was around 150 rs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship: the toppers of every stream used to get some amount after 3 months of result announcement. Also, in first year some students got scholarship basis the 12th boards marks. Loan facility was provided by many banks but there were no tie ups as such.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities: there used to be sports events conducted time to time, parties, events based on occasions like Diwali, Martyrs day etc. Labs: well equipped with all the required machinery. Quite good.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure: hostel was quite good with all the basic facilities but there were no coolers/ Acs. One had to arrange them on their own which itself was a task. But the buildings were new so quite cool they were. There was proper guarding system so it was quite safe. Food was eatable and the quality was okayish.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni: yes they are helpful given we know them and have good conduct towards them. And one can find many people placed in industry who are alumni of our college and one gets a sense of belonging. So, all in all yes that really helps at times.
Exam Structure
Exams happen twice a year. Total marks are 150 out of which 100 are of theory (written exam conducted) and rest 50 includes many aspects like attendance in class, marks of sessionals, assignments given during semester and behavior of student.
Admission
I got admission in University institute of engineering and technology through the Haryana counselling. And the criteria for the merit list was JEE mains rank. After that there were two processes online as well as offline. I got in through physical counselling.
Faculty
Faculty is quite good. All the professors are knowledgeable and always ready to help. Though one needs to be regular during the classes as attendance plays an important role. In my case, I did my last year project with one of the Faculty heading it.
