- The professors are highly educated and very helpful.
- The college fees is relatively lesser than other private colleges.
- The boys:girls ratio is quite good, respect to other engineering colleges.
Dislikes
- The college campus is too small. It covers only 4 acres of land.
- Departments like civil,mechanical and electrical are not good in Nsec. They don't have the proper faculty and infrastructure for these departments.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is average. Each semester lasts for 6 months. After every 4 months Cas are conducted and in the 6th month the end semester exam is conducted. The exam difficulty is not very difficult. Anyone can score above 8 gpa. People should try to score 9+ in practical exams because they are easy to score and also increases the cgpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total Fees for 2021 to 2025 batch is something close to 5 lakhs. 1st semester: 75,000 (also it was the registration fees). 2nd semester: 65,000 3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th,8th semester: 55,500 There is no reservation system for sc/st/obc categories since it is a private college. For scholarship there is svmcm program which gives 60,000 every year.
Campus Life
I am not aware of much of the clubs present in my college but there is no coding club, yes there is gdsc. At the year end an event is conducted by college, after the end semester exams are completed..
Admission
If your jee main,wbjee score is not that good then Nsec is a descent college to take admission in. Because the fees is respectively very less and also the placement is not too bad. Someone can easily take admission through jee mains,wbjee score.
Faculty
Nsec is affiliated with the MAKAUT, so all exam related things are handled my Makaut. For theory papers 4 Cas are conducted out of which the best ca marks is taken. So Ca marks contribute a total of 30 marks and the other 70 marks comes from the theory exam which is conducted offline. For Practical exam 30 marks are given based on the lab performance and 70 marks is given based on the lab exam conducted. If someone scores less than 40/100 in theory exam he/she can give that paper again later. But if someone scores less than 40/100 in practical exam then he/she will have a year lag.
Night Life
As I have mentioned before the college campus is very small, so we cannot expect a night life. But yes there is a library and reading room. There is a canteen which makes good food. Outside college there are multiple cafeterias and restaurants within a range of 2 km.
