Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would like to Rate 7 out of 10 in terms of Course Curriculum relevance as it somehow makes you prepare for real - world application . The frequency and Timing of exams is less and that is very good actually . You wil get sufficient time for Self study.

Internships Opportunities

5

Very few companies are there (like samsung ) who provides internship in our college in 3rd year . Most company come in 4th year only . Lots of companies like Samsung , BlogVault , Vicharak, ITC , are there with average package of 7 in their internship period .

4

Campus Life

5

Very Good Campus life . Very Good for Travelling . Very Good for Sports . One Annual Fest that is Rang-e-Chinar is very good and only fest that will fells to you. Many clubs are there but waste of time no any actively participation . In Extracurricular activities - average.

Hostel Facilities

2

Very congested Rooms in Hostel , Only few students of 4th year is aloocated with single room else each room with occupancy of 6 students . There is bad Drinking water facility provided in each floor. Average mess food , and you fell lack of green vegetables of northen part . No room is Affordable outside due to Security Issues.

Admission

I get this college Throgh JOSAA ( baised on Jee Mains Rank ) . This college stands good in academics but in management it needs improvement . Coming to Admission Process , It is very Simple and easy Process . You just have have to come here in Campus Once you get Alloted a seat in NIt srinagar and everthing will be very easy. The college staff will help you in the admission process . The cutoff for Electrical Enginering in Nit Srinagar is Approx 50,000 rank ( AIR ) in JEE MAINS .

Faculty

5

Yes, this college has Sufficient Faculty member and all of them are very Knowledged and Experienced . As i am from Electrical engineering branch , so earlier the course structure was not that much good as many irrelevent subject were in our course but recently in this year (2024) the revised curriculum is now very good . Talking about the Exam system in this college - we have 2 exams Minors (Of 26 Marks) and Major (Of 50 marks) and remaining Internal Assesment(Of 24 marks) . The level of question in examination vary from Professors to Professors ,( e.g. Papers of Prof. Javed Iqbal and A. H. Bhat are very tough , and 20% to 25% students gets supply in their papers ) . Till now I have studied from the Most of the faculty of My department and among them Prof M. A. Bajaj and Prof. Javed Iqbal and Dr. Ikhlaq Hussain are the professor that i like the most . The Flow of teaching is amazing and the level of Knowledge they have is also amazing . coming to Labs in our couse , they are also good .

Night Life

2

No Night life in Nit Srinagar , Students are not allowed to go outside of campus at after 8 pm . Also inside no Night life as all the shops gets closed and also the Main ground also gets closed . Yes Nit srinagar has a Gym but very small only limited seats are there . so Campus in Timming is 7 pm . also Library is also Small .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
