Remarks

I had a good time being in this college. I only had good memories, so I can only give good remarks. It was a fun experience for me to be here at Hans Raj. I studied, partied, had many hangouts at LP. We had fun.

Entrance Preview

I got admission in this college based on my Class 12th Board exams marks. I scored 94 percent in my CBSE boards and then I opted for many colleges in Delhi University. My initial choice was SRCC but then after getting choosen for Hans Raj college I went for the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good. All the subjects relating to commerce are divided well in each year and then semester for proper understanding of the concept. Also, there are other subjects which are not core commerce subjects but directly or indirectly is related to this field. For example, there's Company law which is highly required when you are in a field of commerce.

Internships Opportunities

I had my internship with a company which is just a start-up. I worked in their marketing team where I had to use some of my planning skills, I learnt during my studies. I was paid Rs 10000 for two months. It was a great overall experience.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is fairly decent. Not all the students gets placed but definitely some of the best companies come here for recruiting. We have companies coming in like Ernst and Young, Google, Deloitte. They offer packages from Rs 6k to 10k per annum.

College Events

4

During the entire year there are several events which takes place but out of all the main event of the college is its fest which is named "Confluence". It's amazing and every year we have some of the celebrity singers coming here to perform. I remember it was rap singer Bohemia who made it. We also had DJ hitesh and many other.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of the college is really feasible. It only costs you around Rs 7000-8000 a year. This is something even cheaper than majority of the schools in our country.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally have no idea about any loan facility available. Also I don't think it's required as the fees of our college is highly cheap. But I guess there's some scholarship programme available. Anyhow, I don't have much idea about it.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is really good. I had some of my best moments in this college. You have got LP to hangout with your friends. There's a good lawn and garden to sit around and study or chat with your friends. We get enough exposure as our college is good in sports. We have got our basket ball team and other sports team as well. Also we have different societies for different activities like singing, dancing, theater and many more.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The mess and the canteen of the Hans Raj college is quite good. There's a main canteen near LP which is accessible to any and every student of the university. We get some of the cheap food items over here. It's lovely and pocket-friendly as well.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the college is fairly decent but not that good. There's no any active group that keeps meeting frequently. It's only based on your individual effort.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is quite good. We have semester system which was introduced in Delhi university just few years ago. There are several assignments that we keep getting that helps us to understand the concept in our books, well in detail.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is good. Though I would say that few other colleges of Delhi University, North Campus have got much better faculty then ours, but still Hans Raj too has got some of the best faculty members. Also, the ambiance of the college is

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
