My College Life tour can never be described in words but through emotions

I would rate my course curriculum a 8/10. Sometimes, due to no students in the lecture the syllabus got lagged which ended being incomplete but still the teachers try their best to provide notes so that we can write in our exams. As, it is a software related course, teacher cover the areas with codes to explain it to the students. Though it is said as 6 month for every semester but we get 4 months to study and complete our syllabus but still manage to complete it before finals.

From 7th Semester onwards campus placement starts. Every year almost all the students get placed in well off companies. All MNCs including Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizent, Deloitte, IBM, EY, HCL etc come during placements. The average package for a trainee engineer is about ?5,00,000. Students get placed with technical and HR interviews and tests. Many choose higher studies after completing degree. So do I. Well, hoping for the best to happen in future.

JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING offers a Bachelor of technology program with a comprehensive fee structure that varies based on the chosen specialization and applicable scholarship. Year wise fee structure: The total fees for B.tech course is ?4,08,000 to ?6,05,000 for the entire four year duration. In our college, just like other we celebrate college fest where a celebrity is invited to make to more encouraging to the students. There is also a technical fest where new innovative ideas are brought by the students. Other colleges are also invited in this Tech Fest. The library is full of new edition books which is given to students every semester to study for finals. There are multiple clubs for activities like music, dance, NCC etc which bring students and encourage them to join new activities.

To get into Engineering college we have to sit for either JEE Mains or WBJEE after clearing any of this, the rank will get you into sny of this course. During Couselling I got into AOT in Adisaptagram. But the distance from my house is quite far so my parents wanted me to get into any nearby college. So when I took admission in JIS College of Engineering, I got in with my WBJEE rank. The admission process went quite well. It was interesting as they asked why I wanted to choose this course out of all. The rank cutoff varies year to year. But a minimum rank is required to get in.

Our faculty is really helpful and friendly. The teachers always try to help the students and solve their queries. Dr.Soumyobroto Saha- Head Of the Department He is very helpful and always tried his best to solve the problems. He is quite friendly with the students. Dr. Suparna Dasgupta- Always solved the internship or student course related problems. Every semester there are 4 exams. 2 internals which took place in interval of two months. 1 lab final exam and theory final exam.

In the entrance of the college there is big field which almost looks like a picnic spot. There is also so many lights and great ambiance. There is a cafeteria for students to enjoy their break. Gym for boys to train themselves. Hostel students had to be in by 7pm in the evening. The third floor has flipped classrooms. The canteen and the 2 grounds are the best place to hang out at night.
