Freedom is there in sct,to wear dresses we like etc
If any problems come in campus, there is clg union
Faculties are helpful and positive for approach

Dislikes

Low maintenance building for biotechnology department
For department of biotechnology,it has very old instruments
Placement options are very less or not there,1 company only which recruits only inside 10 students from a class of 64

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very much not at all for application purposes , even in lab exams we have to byheart the whole theory and more marks are being awarded for the theory written paper in lab exams than the practical experiment we had done

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are there but all the options and instructions are not given clearly to us, mostly they would tell us to find internship courses for getting activity points but there are some available internship opportunities

Fees and Financial Aid

On first year my clg fees was 40 k smthg as they told that was the fees but each year it kept increasing, second year it was 48.5k for second yr then 50.7k for third year and then 53,275 for the last sem.

Campus Life

Campus Life was good overall, there are various club activities going on and various good things are done from the clg side through nss etc, and students does all the arrangements and conducts everything so it's engaging

Admission

The admission process is very bullshit,I opt for cardiac care technology through lbs selection but couldn't get application even when I got full marks for my plus two s Maths, physics and biology,so I opted this course

Faculty

Certain faculties are only teaching for the sake of teaching,they do their job they don't care if childrens pass or fail the subject,but certain new gen teachers etc are teaching in a very effective and engaging classes which makes us study easier etc

Night Life

College campus itself is very Little,and in there the security whistles at 6 30 or smthng if there are no programs etc and everyone should get out at that time,even during sports practice days ,it happened

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the third semester onwards. Toward the end of the third semester, companies start to approach you based on your cgpa and SGPA. If you have good marks stipend is provided.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

SCTCE- A WORTHWHILE EXPERIENCE

A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
