Likes

Student to faculty ratio is maintained flawlessly
Campus buildings are very well built and beautiful
The teachers are very friendly and smart

Location of the college was not a convenient choice
The area near the college is not maintained
The girls to ratio can be a little matched

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not up to the mark. Even though it is a revised curriculum it is not useful for the students who opted specific course.For example the As an electronics and communication engineering student we are required to study C programming evn after studying python

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Placement Experience

Placments from the college is ok but not excellent. I don't think the placements here will give you a salary which is satisfied with students. However the students getting placements are high which can be helpful for them to increase their work experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my case the fee structure I am currently paying is Rs:40000 per year. COET also provides merit full fee structure which requires you to pay 60000 per year. NRI admissions are also available which comes around 1Lakh per year l.

Campus Life

Campus Life so far has been good with me making a lot of friends, participating lot of events etc. our college provides Verity of activities and sports programs which are a relief in the stressful years of studying

Hostel Facilities

Hostel provided is very nice with very convinent fee of 1900 a month. The meals are nice, the facilities are great, regular checking etc. Hostel also provides high speed wifi connections and healthy meals.

Hostel Fee: INR 22800 per year

Admission

I choose this college because I got alloted to this government after giving keam examination. I have also applied to other colleges near my home town, but after allotment I decided to join here.the admission process was great and went smoothly.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is maintained properly. A semester consists of two internal examinations and final semester exam. Including lab exams and other extra subjects like Life Skills and Communications etc are also tested

Night Life

Night life is ok but not great. The area of the college is not close to town which makes it a little scary to walk some at night and I also think this area specifically is not safe for girls at night. But the place is nice during the day

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

Campus life is good
