Remarks

Well every college has some pros and cons. No college can ever satisfy each and every student because every student has its own expectation from college. My college lacks in infrastructure, proper drinking facilities, proper canteen facilities and proper classroom facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is very dynamic like it doesn't really focus on the commerce related aspects but it also covers some general subjects like EVS and English communication which plays a very vital role in one's career. Moreover the subjects are those which have actual practical application in day to day life like income tax, gst, financial management and Auditing etc.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides internship but not really in the field of Commerce. The internships are more related to science background. Though last year a internship company was invited to our college and they provided a session on how to get internships and all and that was really helpful on how to approach internships, how to find them, how to crack the interviews and they also provided session on how to behave and dress in an interview. So it was a great experience to be a part of that session.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are really good. We have some big companies coming to our college for placement from different domains like sales, accounting, bpo, financial services. The average salary is 3 lacs and the median salary is 2.6l which is very good at the undergraduate level.

College Events

3.5

We have lots and lots of event being celebrated in our college. The commerce fest, diwali mela, the departmental fest, fashion society event, the event organised by the theatrics department, the debate society event, college sports events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fee is very feasible. The annual college fees is Rs. 7000-8000 which is very minimal. The only extra cost that the students are required to pay is the exam fees which is also very less. Apart from this no fees is charged by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well our college provides a hell number of scholarships which are provided to needy and meritorious candidates. The scholarships are awarded to students who are economically backward and to those students who performed really well in exams and who topped in their respective class, respective course, in college and at the university level.

Campus Life

3

Every year sports fest is organised in our college where anyone can participate. Apart from sports, events like entrepreneurship courses are provided, communication skill courses are provided. We have a well established computer lab where all the new applications and softwares are there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Currently our college doesn't have any hostel facilities. The infrastructure is not that good but the college is improving day by day. Like we have new buildings being constructed and the playground being reconstructed to save the water using the concept of water harvesting.

Alumni/Alumna

Well our college organises alumni meet every year so that the pass out students remain connected to each and other and they can help the students who are currently pursing any course in the college. We have examples where the alumni helped the candidate to achieve great goals in their life and get jobs at top multinational companies.

Exam Structure

The exams are conducted on semester basis i.e. 2 times a year. The 100 marks paper is divided into 3 parts, 1st is 5 marks for attendance (70-1 mark, 70-75- 2 marks, 75-80- 3 marks, 80-85- 4 marks and above 85 is 5 marks). 2nd is 20 marks for internal exams and the last is 75 marks main paper which is conducted in May and December every year.

Admission

Since it is a college affiliated to Delhi University, first you have to fill the common registration form of DU undergraduate application. Then the DU releases cut offs and the college whose cut offs matches with you board exams percentage, you can take admission there. You have to bring all the documents for verification in the respective college in which you are seeking admission and after verification admission is granted.

Faculty

5

They are well qualified, very supportive and have tremendous knowledge in their respective. They also help in the overall development of the students and provide assistance to each and every student related to any matter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
