gauhati university north east first university

I think the course curriculum is good, but it could be better. We have internships in the 2nd and 4th sem, and the class test is not fixed, so sometimes it is hard to cope with the exam when we have any personal problems.

our college gives placement but it is not that good. average 50 of students got a placement with a 4 lakh average salary. the highest package is 12 LAKH in the 2024 batch and I am thinking of going for offcampus placement in 4th the year and only 4 year students can sit in the placement

In our college, we have to give 28500 for every odd semester and 21480 for every even semester, so the total is approximately 2 lakh in a complete four-year period. we do not have category-wise fee reductions. we all have to pay the same . we do not get scholarships from college but we get scholarships from the government

campus life of Gauhati University as we have more than 5000 students in different domains. we have many events going every day so normal life is so fun. we have fields and indoor stadiums and gyms also.

we have 11 boys and 11 girls hostel. the rooms are good but the food is not good. you have to take admission once a year with 3500 and you have to pay 1500 for the mess fees every month . and we have many rented rooms and pg near the campus.

mainly I got this college with my jee rank, placement is not good here if we compare it with other colleges but the university is situated at the main area of Assam , Guwahati so we have advantage of connecting with great people as it Guwahati is near our campus

the faculty is good, and well-educated all of them are PhD holder in their fields . we have class tests ( do not have fixed numbers) the teacher organizes class tests according to them and last we have end term exam. we have 50:50 mark distribution from the class test and end term in the final grade. and we have relative marking.

There was no group discussion, interview, or written test for admission. We got admission on the jee marks and Cee marks. We have a 10 % reservation for Jee, which is 4 seats in every branch. And the cutoff is not that high.

the nightlife is good in one word. We have a gym open till 9 pm, a library open till 9 pm and shops open till 11 pm . the boy's hostels are open all day but the girl's hostel closed at 7 pm. we have many hangout places in our campus you will know when you will come
