Remarks

Being a part of Delhi University, Aurobindo college can have better infrastructure, more qualified teachers instead of trainees and better sports facilities. They should increase the college fee and provide better facilities to the students. Students scoring high marks and getting into Delhi University deserve better. Since it’s the stepping stone of a student’s professional life, they should have a good studying experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is common for the all the colleges under Delhi University. According to me it is pretty detailed but they can introduce specialisation in different fields for Bcom students. This will help the students to understand where their interest lies. It will further help the students in their PG Courses

Internships Opportunities

When I was in college there was no such committee that would help students find internships during the summer holidays but 1 year after i.e. in 2018 they started helping students to find internships. I hope they still help the students because internships play a very important role in helping the students experience the corporate world.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements and Job opportunities are not that great. Very few companies visit the college for placement. In 2017 companies like EY and Genpact recruited students from the college. The package offered by EY was 3.3 lakhs annually and 1.8lakhs Annually by Genpact. EY picked up 20 students whereas Genpact picked up 17.

College Events

3.5

There were many events which were conducted by different course committees in the college. Every course had a special festival in which students from different colleges could participate. Once all the departments were over with their respective festivals, the college organised a huge college festival which was pretty exciting.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is somewhere around 5600 annually which comes out to be 5600x3= 16,800 for 3 years. It is extremely cheap because it’s a govt college. Other DU colleges charge a higher fee and provide better facilities. They should do the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any scholarship or loan facility but there is some concession for children of Govt employees. Students from different fields who score highest marks and rewarded with a cash prize.

Campus Life

1.5

The college does not have a field within the campus which is why they have purchased membership of Saket Sports complex where students can go and play any sport which they like. Students have to pay Rs17 every time they go and play which the college will refund.

Hostel Facilities

2

There is no hostel facility in this college. Talking about the infrastructure, there is a lot of scope of improvement. They can improve the classrooms with modern facilities, canteen can be improved a lot. Special areas for Pwd students can be improved so that they do not face any issues.

Alumni/Alumna

Since I am alumni of the college, I am more than happy to help students in guiding them. Telling them about the campus, helping them in certain projects, helping the outstation students find accommodations nearby etc.

Exam Structure

Earlier DU used to conduct exams once a year and take internals but now the system has changed. Now there is a semester system. In total there are 6 semesters in 3 years. This is a much better system because students are always in touch with studies throughout the year.

Admission

I got 90% in 12th board exams and waited for Delhi University to release the 1st cut off list but I could not make it through the 1st list so I waited for the 2nd list. I cleared 2 colleges in the 2nd list. Since Sri aurobindo was closer to my house I opted for this one.

Faculty

3.5

There were many experienced teachers in the college. Many had written books which we used to study. But the number of experienced teachers as compared to Trainee teachers was pretty less. This is the area where the college can improve a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
