Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics is a very High demanding course right now so I choose electronics and communication engineering. And my university is the 1st government university in northeast and a A++ grade university so it's not only focus on our studies but also in other curricular activities.
Internships Opportunities
Our university provides its own intership in first 2years after we can apply for internship anywhere we want. As a 2nd sem student I have not done a intership yet so my knowledge about the internship is very low.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students start getting placement. Companies like Codeyoung, Hikeedu, ITC Infotech, federal Bank, zafin, nuclei visited our university and give placement offers. Highest package till date is 20LPA . 77% students get placement. My plans after getting the B.Tech degree is to pursue a MBA degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
First I had paid 1000 rs registration fee and I paid 28900 as 1st sem fees and then 21400 as 2nd sem fees. This is my total fee in my 1st year and next 3years will also be same as this. There are also some small expenses other than fees . And I have applied for NEC scholarship which will be provided by the end of March '25.
Campus Life
There are too many events. On February we have versity week also known as college week after that on March we have youth fest and then in April we have tech fest and then in November again we have a state level youth fest.
Hostel Facilities
We get a bed , table , one almirah. Meals are also avarage but every 15th day we had our mess fest when we get very delicious foods. Our hostel fee is 1600 per month and we have to register every year for double seater which is 3650
Admission
As Gauhati University is a very High rank university in Assam so I've to choose this. And infrastructure is very good than other engineering colleges. And my university offers only 150 total engineering seats so we have to go through a very High competition to get admission. We have to qualify CEE or JEE mains to get admission.
Faculty
Faculties are very sweet and friendly. I've two my personal favourite, one is Bharati ma'am - she's our biology professor and other is Supratim sir- our graphics professor. We've total 7 faculty for 7 subjects. And about the exam, we have to appear for some class test and end semester exam in one semester.
Night Life
We have gym and every department has it's own cafeteria and one market so we don't need to go out of the university campus for anything. Our hostel gate timings are 7:30pm for juniors and 9:30 pm for seniors. Campus is very safe and vibe is amazing.
