The faculty's are very experienced and they have a deep knowledge about the subject
College have a very good placement in the past years. And they provide very good support for matters related to placement
College conducts many programmes such a tech fests, arts and sports competition

Dislikes

College infrastructure is not that good. The lab facilities are limited
The have a low teacher to student to ratio.
College management always delay in informing the students about university updates

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum focus on topics which are applicable in real life like fundamental of computing etc. The exams are moderately hard. Some of the topics are really large and they dont have any practical applications.

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 9650 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have to pay an yearly tution fee of 9650 rupees. There is other fees like bus fee, registeration fee, exam fee, university fee etc. These fee adds up to around 6000 rupees.there is scholarship like egrantz which gives around 500 rupees pocket money every month and it will cover the fees.

Campus Life

College conducts sports and arts meet annually. They also conduct tech fests. The college library have a wide range of books. Every class have a projector and a smart screen. There is clubs like NSS, gbot, ISTE IEEE

Admission

The admission is purely based on KEAM rank. The admission process is simple and transparent. The officials are really aware of the admission process and they are very supportive. I chose the college because of travel advantages.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is low. However the professor's try their best to teach us the subjects. They are really supporting and approachable. They conduct two series exam in every semester prior to the semester exam.

Night Life

College has a gym which is open to every students. Girls and boys have separate timings. The hostel have a strict in time and manager is very strict. College canteen is good and have a variety if items in their menu. The night life is safe but sometimes there will be alerts regarding wild animal attacks

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
