Likes
- There is lot of exposure in college. Outside of students the college also provides extracurricular activities.
- The campus is pretty big and has got lot of Greenery. This keeps the vibe fresh. The campus is also big.
- The college provides decent placements. And it also has placements training program for students.
Dislikes
- The hostel food. The quality of food is not acceptable. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad.
- The long college hours and assignments. There are a lots of assignments throughout the semester.
- The classrooms can be better.The projecters and all could be better.
Course Curriculum Overview
The insem exam is conducted on the first two units of the subject while the endsem exam is conducted on the remaining 4 units. The faculties teach with the help of ppts . Some faculties really do their job very well while some just get the job done.
Placement Experience
From the 6th sem the students are eligible for college placements. The college provides decent placements and the record is also pretty decent. The eligible students get placement based on there skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for doing B.E In Sinhgad College of engineering is 135000Rs. But students can avail both scholarships and freeships from the government. For reserved category students the fees is very affordable. For SC category the fees is around 8000rs.
Campus Life
The college has a lot of clubs for every activity. Dancing, tech, singing, music, etc etc. the college has various activities conducted throughout the year. Various sessions and programs are held in the college throughout the semester.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very affordable as compared to other hostels in the locality. The meal quality is a bit disappointing. Sometimes the food is good , while sometimes it is not. But overall things are good. The hostel is a bit far from the college so you have to do a bit of walking to get to the college.
Admission
I applied in Vit and Viit colleges but fell little short due to the cut-off. I got admission on the basis of my diploma results. The college gives admission on the basis of cet exam and direct second Year admission for diploma students.
Faculty
The overall faculty is good and supportive. Every teacher has knowledge of his respective subject. There are two exams through the semester, an insem and then the final endsem. The college also conducts regular unit tests.
Night Life
The college provides all the facilities such as gym, library cafes. Everything is decent. There are lot of places to hangout in the college. college has its own ground for playing various sports. There are indoor games also.
