One of the best college

College is very good but it has infrastructure issues. It is located in a place, where there in very low network inside hostel and they do not have any Wi-Fi connection inside hostel. Wi-Fi provided inside the campus is limited and time bounded. College doesn't look after the dogs in the campus.

Course curriculum is quite vast and covers majority of the topics. Only after first year, a student starts reading syllabus of their original discipline and also, they can opt for an additional paper maybe in their discipline or of other discipline to study along with their chosen stream.

Yes, college does provide internship and encourages to go for an internship as well. There are almost 8 to 10 companies incubated in Silicon Incubation Center, which also provides students with internship. I do not have any internship experience as I was a grand finalist for Smart India Hackathon and used most of my time for working on my project.

Silicon has a very good record of placement. Mostly IT companies visit college to recruit students. Infosys and Wipro are the day 1 company and mass recruiter. Other than these, many more companies visit campus to hire students. The highest package of this year from in campus placement is 8LPA.

There are number of events celebrated in college both by colleges and different clubs. Some of the major events are - Techfest and zygon Rythmnova Cultural nite Athletics meet Splash Silicon Cup Plus the college has a cinema hall, in which new movies are projected in weekend

Fee structure is quite feasible. Annually, they charge for academic fees, hostel (if you are a hostellite) exam fees and all. Monthly a student has to pay their canteen charges. Also, a student gets a credit of 1500 in their card, for cafeteria and chactea inside the campus, which they can pay with monthly bills.

College provides some scholarship to excellent students, who have shown extra in every field. Plus one can easily apply for education loans and can ask for letter of authorisation from college to be given to bank and other fee related details.

College has lots of facilities for enthusiast in its premises. It has a machine 2 machine lab and circuit club, where students can build projects and IoT devices. It also has research labs for students, who work on latest trends and technologies. College has open gym installed in hostel, has 2 basket ball court, badminton court, volley ball court and football and cricket ground. Silicon also encourages indoor games like table tennis.

Hostel infrastructure is good and facilities are okay. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel and there is network issue in hostel as well. You are not allowed to use electrical appliances with higher wattage ratings like pressing iron, induction cooktop etc.

Silicon has the best alumni network so far. Alumni visit college time to time and are connected with college authority and students over social media as well. Every alumni is helpful and respond quickly to the needs of their juniors and also, they stay in touch with their faculties and often helps in providing internship.

Exam is divided in a semester as follows: Semester exam of 100 marks at the end of each semester. Lab test where ever applicable Internal exam of 50 marks, which is further divided as - 2 class test of 15 marks each Best of 2 surprise tests for 5 marks 5 marks for assignment 5 marks on quiz test and, 5 marks on attendance. At least 50% is required to pass internal exam

Got admission via counselling based on jee scores and all India rank in jee mains examination. There you have to be present at the center and fill in the college of your choice and discipline of your choice and 2 demand drafts are required and then, they present the list of which college you have been selected in.

Every college has some good and some OK faculties. Silicon has a lot of good faculties not just based on their qualification but also on their approach of educating students, their delivery of lectures and their punctuality. Plus, the teacher are motivated to teach and help students beyond their usual time. Silicon also has a tradition of taking feedbacks from student about the professor they are being taught by.
