Likes

Freedom : no restrictions at all you can do whatever you wish to do in the campus legally
Exposure: different people even intentional students are joining also university offers many courses
Night life : Cusat is located at the centre of KOCHI sooo no further explanation required

Dislikes

Uniform : the colour is so irritating and unlike other colleges we have uniforms

Course Curriculum Overview

Very relevant in fact comparing to other govt colleges we can change out syllabus since we are autonomous university under government The btech curriculum is been changed every 4 yeras The latest change being in 2023

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I dont know much about the internship since i am in the first year but as far as i heard for the seniors the internship has to be found individually but is readily available so thats not an issue The projects are given sufficient time so it's alright i guess

Placement Experience

We have plenty of placements most of them get placed . only students with back paper remain We have ASFE a federation exclusive for sf engineers where you have plenty of job opportunities and most of the people in the federation are alumini of CUSAT

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure for State merit - 25k All india merit - 55k Hostel + mess fees - 2-4k (500 for SC/ST) So apporx of 8-9 lakh for the entirety of the course Best placement percentage for SF ENGINEERING almost 95 percent students get more than 2-3 offers Highest being of 23 lpa for SF ENGINEERING Various scholarships are available based on your academic results and reservations

Campus Life

10/10 for campus life although its only been a year i am enjoying it to the fullest Various clubs are available in almost all topics no need to wory about that you will have a club here matching your hobby Sports is also good a new football stadium is under construction soon will be inaugurated

Admission

As i have mentioned before i am here for the placements the placements in the safety and fire engineering is very good most of my seniors are placed so my exact reason for joining the college is the placement and the location KOCHI

Faculty

Faculty here are excellent most of them have phd's and are retired from IIT's and NIT's and enough facilities are provided for each branch although most of them are contract based only few are permanent staff Exams in the first 2 sem are difficult but can be cracked easily if you put some effort

Night Life

I have already mentioned it Cusat is located in Kalamassery kochi which and in the centre too like u literally have a metro stop at the gate You can easily aced lulu marine drive cochin carnival etc For girls theres timing of 11 pm but as far as ik these timings aren't that strict

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More
