Remarks

Our college is not very fancy. It's simple and just best for studies. It lacks infrastructure but the faculty of our college fills up that hole.If a student wants to study , it provides the best environment and support to achieve the heights of success.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is one of the most prestigious course of Delhi University. The subjects offered in this course are very interesting like Indian economy,Income tax,Personal tax planning,Accounts,Corporate law,Business law etc.

Internships Opportunities

No.Our college lacks this facility and the students have to search for the internship on their own. Some teachers may help the students in finding one such internship as stated above but the college does not play any role here.

Placement Experience

3.5

You can not expect any placement from this college if you are in courses like B.A. But you can expect an average package of 25k per month if you are a B.COM student. Many companies like Ernst and Young etc. offers quite impressive packages as well as opportunities to deserving students for higher studies in abroad.

College Events

4.5

Our college has many cultural societies like Moksh - The dramatic society, singing society , dancing society etc. Our college organizes annual fest every year where teams from different colleges participate in several programmes like dance , drama, singing etc. In addition to this, every department organizes separate fest for its own department student where several interesting competition like treasure hunt, quiz etc. take place. The college also have cricket, football team where students can participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for our college is too feasible that it can be easily afforded. For B.COM( Hons) it is nearly 7000 INR for a year. In addition to this you have to pay, nearly 800 INR examination fee before every semester exam. There are no extra charges for joining any societies or for participating in any event. But our college don't have hostel facility. So if you are from outside Delhi, it is a major concern for you as you have to take PG or flat on rent which cost nearly 9000 INR per month for average room and food facility.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is government college and its fee is very affordable to all types of person i don't think our college provides any such type of scholarship or loan facility. Our college provides cash rewards to the person who secured top rank in the external examination.

Campus Life

2.5

Our college has 4 computer labs which are highly maintaned and air - conditioned. Our college has its own cricket and football team which take part in various inter- college competition but our college does not have its own ground for it. The students have to go Saket complex for practise which is nearly 4 kms away from the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Our college does not provide hostel facility. The infrastructure of our college is not quite good. Our classes are not air- conditioned. Our college has 4 computer labs which are air- conditioned. The infrastructure and the quality of food in canteen is also not so good.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students of our college are too helpful right from the starting. You will observe that when you will even go for your admission they will guide you inside the campus and help you in every step till the admission procedure is completed. There is not a single sign of ragging in the campus.

Exam Structure

Our university follow semester mode examination where two semesters take place in a year. Eace semester have 5 papers in Hons course whereas 4 subjects in regular course. Each paper is of 75 marks where 25 marks are for class test and attendance.Out of 25, there are 2 class test of 10 marks each and 5 marks are awarded for attendance. This 25 marks are in the hands of your subject teacher whereas written papers are checked externally.

Admission

You need a good percentage in your 12th boards exam to get admission in this college. You need to fill up the form of Delhi university and then wait for their cut off list.Once the cut off list is released and you are qualified for it you can go to the college with the necessary documents such as marksheet, transfer certificate, migration certificate, quota certificate ( if needed).

Faculty

4.5

The heart of our college is our faculty. The teachers are co-operative and are ready to help you everytime to solve your problems personally as well as regarding course. They are always ready to give you extra time to clear your doubts. But simultaneously do not expect this from all teachers. Some teachers do not take even classes too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
