A thrilling roller coaster ride

The college management is not upto the mark. Actions are not taken promptly. A negative and dark side would be that ragging has not been effectively eradicated from the college. The bridge between the authority and students also seems to be a bit bigger.

CEE assam.I scored 144 out of a possible 300.My college is the best regional college in Assam in terms of infrastructure and scope for development.

The course is a 4 years program. Divided in 8 semester.A totall of 48 subjects in 4 years.Each semester covers 6 subjects along with additional laboratory works and project worrks.

The internship opportunities vary every year. We are allowed internships in both private and public sector companies and organizations.Companies like bsnl, Vodafone, HP, etc are the common ones. Government institutions like airport authority of India, all India radio also provide training programs.

Placement opportunities also very every year with the general market scenario. Overall there is approximately 80% placement. Companies from various sectors frequently visit the college. It giants, tcs , wipro etc are the largest recruiters. Package varies from 3-5 lacs per annum.

The college promotes and celebrates various events. Apart from the usual college week. There is a national level college festival named Pyrokenesis. It arlttracts people from all over the north eastern region.

The fee structure compared to any engineering college in the country is very less. Approximately 10000 per semester is the fee. This is including the exam fee which is charged before the commencement of any semester exam.

There is one called NEC scholarship.There are others like minority scholarship and OBC scholarship. Also there is fee relaxation for category student. Bank loans can be availed from the nearby SBI branch.

The gender ratio in campus is favorable to female. The campus being situated on either side if a road connecting the highway doesn't have the charm of a usual campus. There is a vast intolerance between hostel boarders and those who don't. Day boarding students do not always feel a part of the college in every activity.

The hostel facilities and mess food is ordinary. Much like most other colleges. Hostel seats vary from single rooms to rooms shared by 3 or common dormitory.food in mess keeps varying and is mostly keeping up with nutritional standard.

College seniors are very supportive in nature. The alumni network is also very strong one. The alumni have been in vast range of fields. This helps us establish some idea about every field.

There are end semester examination. Along with that there are mid semester examinations as well. Laboratory examination are also held along with the end semester examination.

The faculty range varies. Some faculty members are very highly qualified with good teaching methods. Others are not at par with the before mentioned. Also the faculty per student is less. And most faculty lack experience.
