Course Curriculum Overview
It's really good, they claim it to be designed by taking inspiration from the NIT course and curriculum and also claim that its not as good as nit but better than IIT!! Which is true if someone has an idea about the curriculum there
Placement Experience
The placement is provided to us as claimed, 100 %,if you are at KIIT, you can't go unemployed, you will surely get job, big companies like fiat, amazon, Highradius, Zs Solutions, MuSigma, Hatley Davidson, Delloite, TCS, Infosys, Airtel, Reliance, Jio, Suzuki, Honda, etc.
College Events
There is an event every month in our university, the main ones being KIIT INTERNATIONAL MUN, E-SUMMIT BY E-CELL, Kritharth, Kiit Fest, Enactus Festival and these are huge as the minimum participation is 2500+ and maximum has gone upto 10000+
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's expensive, 16lakhs at my time that was 3 years ago, it's 18lakhs now but this includes all the sems, the hostel fee, food fee, laundry, education fee, lab fee, etc. So per semester a min of 2 to 2.5 lakh is there! The quality of infrastructure here, the expensive, up to date, futuristic hi technology labs, all the events and the placement promise its worth it and its less than its competitors like VIT, SRM, UPES, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships but for the first 500 rank holders in the entrance exams!!! The percentage of scholarships varies with ranks!!! Also if you are the highest cgpa securer in your department then you can apply for a monthly scholarship which goes upto rs 10000 a month.
Campus Life
There is a sports complex in every campus present in the university and each has its own swimming pool which is constructed upon the Olympic standard norms, a basketball court, a tennis court, volleyball Court, indoor sports like squash, table tennis, badminton, chess, etc. We have a full size football ground and a bcci certified cricket and hockey grounds where international tournaments have been organised!!! Each campus has its own gym and one of the best sports players have been produced in our university, to name one Dutee Chand.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel have 3 options ,non ac 3 sharing, ac 3 sharing and ac 2 sharing with attached bathrooms. There is one more option to opt for a PG type hostel which is more like a flat but each room is shared by 2 individuals. The price for non ac is 21k per Sem and doubles for the ac 3 sharing that is 40k and for 2 ac attached bath, it's 65k, including the 5k extra for the bathroom.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors here are really helpful. The campus is a ragging free zone and every senior is friendly and not only helps in the academics part but also in the personality building, soft skills, sharing of experiences, etc. They really motivate you to push harder! A separate office is there to maintain the alumni relations here at kiit.
Admission
I gave an entrance exam known as the KIITEEE , and you will be selected according to your ranks for the branches available, computer science being the first, civil being the last! You will be called to the college for the counselling and you or your parent needs to be present in person for that, then a fees of about 10k which is the counselling fees and if confirmed then 65k in the name of admission fees but it is for the laptop they provide us!!! The total basic Sem fees at my time was 1.89 lakhs.
Faculty
The younger faculty members are really good, they are easy to approach, use new and innovative yet interesting methods to teach , the older ones are experienced ones with lots of papers and books published, most of all of the faculty members, about 65% are doctorate or PhD holders and from reputable universities even foreign universities
