Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rate 3.5 out of 5 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness as I believe the courses were well designed as for me coming from Computer Background, DSA is backbone which was introduced to us in our second year with programming and coding which is necessary so that we can code the assignments and understand the flow clearly in third and final year courses including, Operating Systems, Design and Analysis of Algorithms etc.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are available in third year when companies visits the college and then student need to apply for the respective company. For shortlisting there are several round ranging from online test to series of interviews including technical, non-technical, HR and after when students gets selected for the internship for the particular company then the internship right away starts after the end of third year in vacations.

Placement Experience

3

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Campus Life

4

The overall campus life is extremely good. Here not only academics but a person's social and professional growth both happens. COEP has various technical clubs including NSS for social services, Science Club for knowledge and Yoga, Suryanamaskar Club for fitness. Mula mutha rivers flows through our college vicinity so we also have a Boat club that provides option for boating. We also have Regetta festival where the boat activites with light effects are performed. MindSpark, and COEP Zest promotes the youngsters business mind and sports activities as well.

Hostel Facilities

3

Our hostel campus is on walking distance to our college. We have 2 separate entries at our gate one for girls hostel and other for boys hostel. For each year there are separate blocks assigned and separate mess as well. Gym is common for all and is available with basic equipments. The mess food quality is moderate and it differs as according to me first year mess food was not that good but third year mess was extremely good. First year hostel blocks were somewhat isolated to prevent ragging

Admission

I chose this college after when my MHT CET 2019 results were announced and my percentile was declared, after that I had option to choose the branch and college. Getting a good percentile in MHT CET with SC Category made me eligible to choose COEP College which is among the best colleges of Maharashtra that not only promotes technical educations but also shapes youngsters personality through various technical clubs, fests etc which is important for growth.

Faculty

3

The faculty members of our college included combination of humble kind professors and teacher, some were serious and some were little rude. Most of our faculty teachers and mentor were good and moderate , and they helped resolve our doubts whenever asked and also make us aware of mistakes. Some were serious during lectures to ensure seriousness among students especially when the season of technical fest approaches. Very few were rude. Among theseI liked Neelam mam who was very nice and kid not only during lecture but also whenever I used to meet her in college campus also. She also helped me for documentation work in college when our batch was at home due to covid lockdown. I disliked Bhandarkar Mam as she had some attitude while teaching and was always used to be late for lectures. The course structure for the four year for each branch varies. For the first year the course structure was same for all branch with subjects common to all branch including Engineering Graphics from Civil Engineering, Linear Algebra, Optics and Modern Physics, Applied Chemistry. From Second year onward till final year branch specific courses were persent for each semeseter. Total 8 semester were there, 2 semester for each year and for each semesters we had 3 exams which is T1, T2, and EndSem. T1 is Test1 of 20 marks, T2 is Test2 of 20 marks and EndSem used to be of 60 marks. Mostly the exams were easy to moderate level, and very few paper were hard and on an average , 3-5 students of a 70 student used to fail the exam. The course curriculum according to be was by far moderately relevant as for me coming from computer background the couses were well designed for each year. Especially, DSA which is main backbone for our branch was part of second year and followed by these other technical course like Computer Network, Operating Systems were part of third and final year.

Night Life

4

The nightlife around college campus is extremely awesome. Our infrasturcture of college and hostel building are historic times so at night time they gives historic view. We have 2 cafeterias in our college campus on in North campus and other in south campus near to boat club. There is one central library wherein people can calmly study and read books with greenery around the library.
