A real student perspective inside the Campus life.

As from 2024 itself only our college become Autonomous and our batch is the first batch in Autonomous KIET and they have changed their whole course curriculum after becoming autonomous. Our course includes tech subjects like web development, Python, Internet of things, C , Data structure and AI also which are the most important subjects for real world application. And this is the thing why I choose this college. The college works on the students from the first year itself to help them grab multiple internships and jobs in future. As everything is good in the course curriculum except one thing that college must teach the data structure algorithm in JAVA or C++ language rather than C language. It will be more helpful for the students. College also focuses on Communication skills of the students and proper lectures are provided for it. And foreign languages are also present in our college. Total there are two mid semester exams, 2-3 Class Assessments and one End semester examination for one whole semester. There are different shifts for different differnet exams like morning shifts and evening shifts. And the difficulty of the exams is average. If a student honestly study in the class then he or she can easily pass these examinations.

As students get the permission from the college to do inernship from third semester. But it totally depends on students skills. If he or she gain good amount of skills then he or she can easily crack the internship in his or her third semester or after that. Officially companies come in our college for students who are in fifth semester of the college and pick students who are good in skills and fulfilling their all conditions. Companies like Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant and many more offeres roles to the students. Stipends provided by these companies may differ depends on the students skills. It may be 20K per month or it may be 50K per month. To get internships in the college students must work on many projects like he or she is good in web development or app development and created many projects. Students must participate in Hackathons also it helps them to crack internship easily and also give them experience in their life. After then clear the interview and you will crack the internship.

The placements of my college is average. The students become eligible for campus placements after the sixth semester. As students starts getting place from the beginning of the seventh semester. Many companies visited our campus like Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Amazon and many more. Every company made different offers for different number of students like Wipro made 50-60 stuents offers of package nearly Rs.5 LPA and Amazon made different offer for 3-5 students of package nearly Rs.20 LPA. The highest package gone in our college is of Rs. 60 LPA from our branch but that is off campus placement. And the average package is about nearly 5 LPA to 7 LPA. Every year nearly 90% to 92% computer branch students got placed in our college. Many students do not take placements because they have to go higher studies and many more reason. My plans after getting the degree is to work in Private sector and earning a good amount of money.

My year- wise fees that I am paying to college is Rs. 140000. From which Rs. 112099 is tution fees, Rs. 1000 is Security fees, Rs. 6000 is Book bank fees, Rs. 16000 is student development fees, Rs.700 is Medical fees and Rs. 3500 is registration fees. For fee- waiver students, they have to pay nearly Rs. 50000 as complete year fees to the college. There are several scholarships provided by the college and the U.P. Government to the students which can be nearly Rs. 50000 for general category students whose family income is less than Rs. 200000 and family income less than Rs.150000 for SC/ST students. College also provide scholarships to those students who top their respective branch of nearly Rs. 10000. And students whose parents are not alive, college also provide scholarships to those students.

My overall campus life experience is good. There are several fests held in our college like one is Cultural fest called Epoque which is of 3 days fest held in the month of March, other is Sports fest called Rann which is also of 3 days held in the month of February. And several tech fest also held in our college from which one is Innotech held in the month of December. There is a huge library present in our college which consists of thousands of books in it. Library consists of every subject books in it and it is available for free for college students. As library opens till 5:00P.M.(for day scholars) and till 2:00A.M.(for hostellers). The facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms is very good. Proper wifi facilities is provided for the students, smart board, proper sockets in every table for students to charge their laptops and proper A.C. are present in every classrooms. There are several sports which are present in our college with separate grounds of that sport. Sports like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Kabaddi, Chess, Carrom, Shooting and many more are present in our college. Many extracurricular activities are also present in our college like Dancing, Singing, Drama, Photography and many more. Their are several clubs in our college which helps students to grow in that field in his or her life. Clubs like Tech clubs, Dance clubs, Singing clubs, Drama clubs, and many more clubs are present.

The hostel facility of our college is very good or we can say it is best. Every thing is provided for the hostellers in the hostel room by the college. Proper bed, table and chair, fans, cupboards, charging sockets and top speed wifi is also given by the college to the hostellers. Proper meal is present for the hostellers which include breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. The quality of the food is very good and different item is given every day to the hostellers to eat. The registration process is very simple for the hostel in our college. We have to reach to the college on the day of registration and just apply for hostel also and pay the hostel fees and your hostel will be registered. I paid Rs. 107000 for my triple sharing room (without A.C.). With A.C. the student have to pay Rs. 27000 more along with Rs.107000.Single rooms are also present for students with amount Rs.110000. There are several PG around the college campus which are present for students who doesn't able to get the hostel inside the college. And the quality of the PG is also very good and are very affordable also.

I applied in my other colleges other than this like I applied in Jaypee Noida and I get confirmation letter also from them but I didn't choose it because it is not worth the cost and it very expensive also and the student environment is also not very good there. I also got confirmation letter from JSS Noida college but I didn't choose it because it's hostel facility is very poor and I found infrasturture is also not very good if we compare to my college. KIET college is better option compared to every point mentioned above. Yes, I also get rejected from councelling of MAIT Delhi college councelling because of less JEE Mains rank and also not having the profit of Delhi quota. This college requires the rank of nearly 30K for students outside Delhi and my JEE Mains rank is 150K. That's why I didn't make it there. There are two ways we can take admission in our college. One is by AKTU councelling in which we get admission by JEE Mains rank and second is by direct college management quota in which we get admission by Boards percentage. The cut-off rank for my branch CSE-AI in our college is in between 135000 to 150000 in JEE Mains. And for boards students requires nearly 93-94 percentage to get admission in our college in my branch. My overall admission experience is average.

The faculty members of our college is very good and educated. The faculty to student ratio is different for every subject like For Python and C we have 4 teachers for 70 students and in Maths and chemistry we have 1 teacher for 70 students. The faculty to student relationship is very good and the faculty members are very easy to approach by the students. As they solve every student doubt and problem very calmly. I like my batch coordinator Mr. Shivansh sir as he is my Python and AI teacher also. He is very patient and educated teacher and he solve and understand every student problem very calmly. I like my Maths teacher Mrs. Archana Mam also because she is very educated teacher and her teaching capability is very good. I do not like my chemistry teacher because she is not very interactive with students and also I do not like her teaching way and she is very rude also with students. If you study honestly in the class then you can easily pass the exams. There are very few students nearly 2-3 students out of 70 students who fails in the exams otherwise every students pass these exams. The course curriculum is very relevant for the students as this course help students in their carrer to grow and help them to grab internships and jobs in future. As this course includes subjects like Web development, Python, C, data structure and AI.

The nightlife in our college campus is good. For boys they can hangout in college campus till 2:00 A.M. and for girls it is till 8:00P.M. There are several cafeterias present in our college in every corner of the college. And they open from 9:00A.M. till 12:00 A.M. in the midnight. One big library is present in college which opens till 2:00 A.M. and few gyms are also present in our college. 2 gyms for boys and 1 gym for girls which opens for 2 hour in the morning and for 3 hours in the evening. Classes timing is from 9:00A.M. till 4:00 P.M. after then students go for playing their favourite sports to relax their mind after the hectic classes. Day scholars can stay in the college campus till 7:00P.M. To be very honest you will not find any hangout places like mall or something else near the college. Every hangout places is little far away from college. Yes, locality is safe to roam around at night.
