One of the finest engineering colleges in India.

After getting admission in this college I have understand that study is not the only thing that you can rely on to succeed in our life. The faculties, seniors and alumni are the most important part of my college life who made me believe Jadavpur University is my second home. And this is the most important part of my college that I love my college life which makes me interested to go to college to learn more and also enjoy.

The course curriculum is well designed and helpful for us to get more and more knowledge and is more focused on the conventional sources of energy. There are total eight semesters. Two semesters comprises to a year and it is a 4 year course.

Talking about placements the records may seem a little poor from other department but last year there was 73% placement with 7 out of the 50 students got more than 1 job offer, avg package was 6.66lpa and max package was 13lpa. They do provide internships but most of the student goes to internships of their choices. I haven't done any internships but may be in future I can do it.

CIIPPUS - Our college has 2 campus at present. And it is the freshers fest in Saltlake canpus by the 5 department in Saltlake. Departmental Freshers - In each of the departments for freshers. U-Turn - Freshers fest for the whole university. Arena - Sports Tournaments(Cricket, Football, Chess, Carrom, etc.) Srijan - Tech fest(Robowars, Line followers, Blitz Soccer, Gaming events, etc.) Sanskriti - It is an indispensable part of Jadavpur University Science Faculty, is our tribute to the confluence of our culture. Be it art of living or apparently the rich knowledge of science and music, we plan to promote the growth of culture among the students by providing them a grand platform to exihin their talent. Our vision is to promote the Indian culture among the students all over the country.

It's very much feasible and most of people whom I say just gets amazed that the 4 yr course costs costs just about 10,000 INR. As admission fee we have to pay 710 INR during admission. For first 2 semesters it costs 64 INR each. For 3rd and 4th semester we have to pay 84 INR each. And 2500 INR each for last 4 semesters.

Our college is very helpful to its students. The students who came from a poor background is helped by scholarships of about 40,000 INR. They must opted for scholarships in the college. I am not under this criteria and I haven't opted for it. So, I don't know clearly about it but they probably check parents income certificate before providing scholarship

Apart from classes our college has music room, common room with carrom, Table Tennis, Chess. For outdoor sports we have football ground(In both campus), cricket ground(In Saltlake Campus), Volleyball courts(In Jadavpur campus), Basketball Courts(In Saltlake Campus), etc. Talking about labs they are well maintained with new equipment(except some) and facilities.

In our college alumni network are very strong and they have lots of emotion towards this college that pull them over here. And as a result this relations helps us a lot by providing informations about the current scenario in the industries and gives us chance to take industrial training under their recommendations which helps a lot to guide our career.

After my 12th board exam I appeared for WBJEE. My rank was 396 in SC. I opted in the counselling from WBJEE website and entered name of colleges and field of study according to my preference and I got a chance in this course.

Most of the college faculty are very helpful and kind towards us. They used to give us the knowledge that we require in the exam along with that they try to provide us all kinds of practical experiences that they have faced in an industry.
