Culture is the best in this university. Many cultural functions are held in this university.
Campus is very beautiful. But big also. Everybody is helpful there

Dislikes

Greenery is not there in the college. Lack of trees is there.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was M.Sc in Botany. I have completed my B.Sc in Botany. After that I got into M. Sc. Tne course was relevant to my subject. The papers are little bit difficult. But the professors helped a lot.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

9000 Scholarships are Provided. Both State and Central. I got Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship from this institution. Many more scholarships are available to apply from this university like Kanyashree, Oasis, Swami Vivekananda etc.

Campus Life

Campus life was great. Everyone was helpful. We fought against the early exam date. We have did it as a unit. There was equality and unity among our group. We have very much enjoyed the university life.

Admission

This is a central university. Everyone dreams to get admission in this university. I got the chance also. And I have got admission to the course and successfully completed it. I am proud to be a student of this university.

Faculty

The faculty were very much helpful. I admissioned in corona state. But the professors were very helpful. They helped in our study very much. They helped to create a good dissertation for my project for final semester.

Night Life

The night is very safe in our campus. I have returned from the university very safely even after 10 pm. There are many cafes, destinations to travel and enjoy. There was no ragging. There was equality and unity.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

From the 2nd last semester, that is the final year, students become eligible for campus placements. Last year, two of our seniors got placed at Reborn Child Development Centre (Durgapur and Asansol) with an average package of Rs 200,000. This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

A Peaceful, Culturally Rich Journey at Visva-Bharati University

I chose VBU over other colleges because of its peaceful campus, strong language programmes and unique academic environment inspired by Rabindranath tagore's vision. I had also applied to JNU and EFLU, but after careful comparison I found VBU more aligned with my learning style and personal goals. The UNIVERSITY offers a more focused and supportive setting with smaller class sizes and close student-teacher interaction which is ideal for studying a language like Japanese. The admission process was conducted through the CUET( COMMON UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST) . The eligibilty was 10+2 with a valid CUET score. For Japanese VBU considers marks of either ENGLISH or GENERAL TEST whichever you get higher marks in.
