Course Curriculum Overview

4

The only factor that influenced my descision to choose this course was that my parents forced me to do so. The teaching methods are also pretty good because the college Includes Outcome Based Education as a teaching method. The college also considers the feedback of students regarding the faculty. One improvement that can be made is that lecturers should be provided with mics during the lectures so that they can be heard clearly.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship opportunities in the college are pretty good. The top companies that provide internships in the college include Adobe, Amazon, Microsoft, Mastercard etc. Since I am currently in the first year i wont be able to comment much about the internships. However the top companies provided top students with a stipend above 1L per month and even gave them pre-placement offers.

Placement Experience

5

The placements in my college are pretty good considering the Fact that mostly its the Top 2000-3000 students from Maharashtra that make it to this college. The average Package offered in the college is Around 11LPA while the highest package last year was around 48LPA. The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%. My plans after getting the Degree is either to continue my Cricket Career as a Proffesional or to become a Commercial Pilot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees that I will be paying is 115500rs for the college Fees. And for the Hostel and mess I will be paying 125000rs per annum. There is a good amount of scalarships provided by outside companies for students that belong to families with a family income under 6LPA.

Campus Life

4

There is a good amount of technical and non techniccal fests that take place in the college. The main fests are usually held during the feb-march months. The sports facilites provided are really poor consider especially there are hardly any facilites for cricket and football. There are around 30 student clubs so there is some or the other event every 2 weeks.

Hostel Facilities

3

Since I have opted for the college Hostel facility I would only provide my opinion about the same. Talking about the boys hostel the rooms on the 5th floor are pretty good since were newly built when I came and was equiped with New furniture. The complaints I have about the hostel is that there is no lift and that the Hostel in time is TOO EARLY. Also the quality of WIFI Connection isnt that great as we have to keep loging in again and again. The rooms would have been great if there were ACs and Showers in the Bathrooms. Talking about the hostel mess the quality of the food is the WORST that i have ever tasted in a hostel. The mess is compulsory for all Hostel students and as A hostel student I eat outside almost everyday since the mess food is both unhealthy and unhygenic.

Admission

The only reason why I chose this college over the others was beacuse my parents forced me to do so. I had also got the option of taking ENTC Branch in VJTI Mumbai and COEP Pune but my parents insisted I chose this college because I got Computer ENGINEERING branch in this College. The other colleges I applied to include IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi but I couldnt make it there as I didnt qualify for the JEE Advanced Exam.

Faculty

4

The faculty members of the college are highly qualified and knowledgable in the respective fields that they teach. However there are few female teachers that dont speak loud enough while addressing a class of 78 students. I pretty much liked most of the faculties. From my point of view the exams were a bit difficult as i have got my admission through CIWGC qouta.

Night Life

2

The college has a gym which is really small which cant handle more than 15-20 students at a time. Both the Hostel and Campus In timings is 10pm which is pretty early considering the fact that most students make plans to hangout late at night. The campus is pretty small so there is no place to hangout inside the college. However there are a variety of restaurants & street food stall just outside the campus where most students hangout.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITB] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because I didnt qualify for JEE Advanced.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

I'm choosing this course because I'm interested in programming languages. Faculty members here are at the best level. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They made lectures most interactive. All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
