My College life experience

From study point of view it is one of best Universities in the country but there is some problems related to Students Union. Students can actively parcipate in politics which can grow diffencences in them which ultimately called agitation and various demands.

The course curriculum is very flexible in nature. It consists of 3 years duration.In the first two year you have to study the main honours subject and also two subsidiary subjects and also Computer Programming in 2nd year. In the third year you have to study only the main honours paper. There will be 2 papers on the main Honours paper per semester and also 2 Paper each for each subsidiary papers. Each paper consist of 50 marks. The whole B.SC honours course consist of 1200 marks of main honours paper and 1300 marks in subsidiary subjects.

Job opportunities and placement are very good in Jadavpur University. It has a placement cell which conducts inverviews from the end of various companies which are arrived to hire students for their companies. On the basis of the result of interview and educational achievements they hire students. The university also provides internship to doctoral fellows with a stipend about Rs.10000 per month.

Jadavpur University is full of cultural and functional event every year. The annual Fest has been organized every year by different faculties. A Few bands, renowned singers also perform in that program. Apart from that every department organised Departmental Reunion to mark gathering of old and present day students of the university. The degree distribution program known as " Annual Convocation" also is a big event for the University.

The fee structure is very flexible as it is a fully government owned college. The fee is collected in semester basis. A small amount of money near about Rs. 1600 per semester has to be paid by the students.

Students mainly from economically weaker section are mainly offered scholarship/loan facility. Moreover they can also avail fee waiver scheme in various fields like hostel, semester fees etc. They can also stay in hostel without any fees.

Our University have University Teams in various fields of sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball etc. They partcipate in intra state competition and national level competitions also. The University has won various award in various field of Sports.

The hostel can be opted by the students with an affordable pay structure. Rooms, Common Bathrooms , Water, Electricity, amusement and canteen is also inside the hostel campus. Also good quality food is also provided here.

The Seniors are very helpful. They solve any kind of problem related to study, accommodation. Apart from that they share their personal experiences on various field so that newcomers can tackle those problems easily.

I have scored 691/800 in my Class 10 board exams and 462/500 in my Class 12 board exams. Based on these two results I have applied for the admission in my college. A merit list has been prepared based on the aforementioned two board exams and I have secured a position in that merit and got the admission.

One of the best faculties in Kolkata. Jadavpur University is an eminent university. The professors are very knowledgeable and having best teaching skills. Apart from that they are very helpful in solving any queries related to studies.
