Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course i chose is MBBS off course it is tye one in which people die to get into. I had decided to get into medical in class 10th The curriculum is good and nice although it could be hectic for some people The area of improvement in curriculum could be the leaves that u get . We get very few leaves. I think the frequency and timing of exams is good it keeps us engaging in our studies and course and it is nice because it is a long course.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship is for 1 year after passing the final year which is served in esic hospital in our campus . The stipend of our internship is second highest in india after aiims which is 30k per month. In internship you have to work and assist with the senior doctor and pgs in the hospital and work along with the nursing staff .

Placement Experience

5

After final year exams students have to go for internship which is necessary for 1 year in which the stipend is almost 30k per month So in medical no such companies come for placement although after internship u do have to serve a bond for 14 months in any esic college hospitals and dispensaries in the country in which you are paid 2 lakhs per month My plans after this degree will be going for UPSC exams or maybe going for PG in cardiology

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for students who come from all india quota is 1 lakh rupees For state quota same 1 lakh rupees For IP quota students it 27 thousand rupees There is no different fees structure according to category of the student all my batchmates pays same amount of fees it only depends on the quota Hostel fees for both boys and girls are same 10 thousand a year We have internship after final year and the stipend is around 30 thousand per month for one year After that we have to serve a bond for 14 months where we can choose to serve at any part of country where we are paid almost 1lakh 50 thousand per month as salary.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience with campus life is good We do have college fests and festival celebrations time to time, recently we had esic crux in which all esic college students participate in various cultural and sports events. Speaking about books and journals we have library in which almost all types of books are there. Speaking of technology we do have all the necessary things there should be in a medical college like microscope ecg machines bp machines projectors and computers etc. There is lack of space in our campus so unfortunately there is no playgrounds and stadium although indoors games and sports are there. There different clubs and groups made by students for extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

Registration process for hostel is very easy and smooth When i joined all they aksed was for allotment letter from nmc and admission letter from college And they took me to my room and handed over keys. The hostel is very good and very much cheap and affordable it only costs you 10 thousand a year which is very cheap compared to a pg in banglore in main city it will costs around 10 to 25 thousand per month Locality for pgs near by the college would be any pgs in rajajinagar banglore. The locality

Admission

The other colleges i applied for was coimbatore medical college, sms medical college jaipur , esic medical college banglore and all other esic medical colleges in country Coimbatore medical college i got admission before this one but then there was a language problem because it is in tamil nadu So i applied for upgradation and got this one, here college being in banglore many other north Indian students are there and many of the local people knows hindi and english so language was not a problem here As i said i applied for sms medical college and other rajasthan medical colleges but i couldn't get admission in them because of high merit and cutoff so i applied for other colleges i mentioned above. The admission process was easy documents we needed was allotment letter from NMC ,neet admit card,10th and 12th marksheet ,caste certificate , anti ragging bona-fide, some photos . So for MBBS you need to give NEET exam conducted by NMC and cutoff of this exam varies and changes by year.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is good there are more than adequate number of professors in each department and they are easily approachable apart from professors there are pgs and tutors as well in the departments and they are very helpful to clear your doubts and guide you as well There is Dr.Swapna tai from physiology she is very good and polite and students really appreciate her Then there is Dr. Seema she is HOD of anatomy department she is really strict although she is good in teaching but students still not like her that much. For exams we have 3 internal assessment exams conducted by college itself on the basis of which you will be eligible for giving university exams (final exams)which is conducted by RGUHS university. The internals seems a bit difficult compare to university exams but can be managed easily and students almost pass in all the exams .

Night Life

5

My college is in bangalore so off course the night life is the best here . There are many cafeterias ,gyms like cult ,libraries and many public spots like parks and stadiums near by the college. The hostel timing for girls is from 6 am to 9pm For boys it is 6 am to 10 pm On sundays it 10 pm for girls and 11 pm for boys in the night although people still stay out for longer time outside . The famous hangout places are the clubs, pubs, and breweries near the college. And the locality is very safe you can easily roam in the night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
