Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course curriculum is not as accurate as it has to be And it contains useless subjects in the first year and the whole is feeling a waste as the curriculum would not be used in core subjects and is waste

Internships Opportunities

1

I am not well aware of the internship opportunities but student avail intership on their own as college facilities are not appropriate for the internship opportunities in the college and if student himself tries he easily gets and internship.

Placement Experience

3

The placement of the college is below average as compared to the other private college but if compared to the return on investment then the placement is average .as it's average lies between 3-6 lacs and hisest is 12.

Fees and Financial Aid

When you enter the college then fees for boys is around 32 k and for girls it is around 10 k as tuition fees does not apply on girls . This fees is semester wise. If you are opting for hostel (boys only) then fees will be 3000 for one semester and mess fees will be different 105 rs per day .

Campus Life

2

Overall experience is average as there no fests in college. The fests occure very rarely in 2 years once . The clubs are also not that much wide to join but there is NCC which is appropriate according to me

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is good but could be better as the rooms are good but the washrooms and water faculty is not appropriate as water usually don't come on weekend and students have to struggle for water.

Admission

I chose this college because this was near to my house and on subject of my marks in the jee mains and hpcet I got this college .this is the top college in hp state government engineering college after nit.

Faculty

4

Faculty members of the are good except some of them . But overall the faculty is above average . The couse structure is as follows consisting 8 semester and 2 mid semester exams each semester and one final exam after every semester. The final paper is of 60 marks and 40 marks are internal assesment and mst are of 30 marks.

Interview Experience

4

No I did not face any group discussion but yes written test of hpcet was given and my score was almost 300 out of 600 the test is easy and not that hard as jee pr other engineering exams it is of school level.

Night Life

3

The nightlife is pretty boring as there are no clubs cafe or any restaurant near college and sundernagar is a semiurban town . students stay in the hostel who are in the campus and can roam around campus till 9 pm.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.
