Bhowanipur Education Society College is a very good B.com college when compared to other colleges under Calcutta University. Our college has the best infrastructure, faculty and extra curricular activities for its students.

B.com is a good course but you need to do a professional course like CA or CS or CFA with it. B.com on it's own is not enough to fetch a student an adequate job after graduation. The students can also do post-graduation (M.COM) or MBA for better prospects in the future.

Bhowanipur Education Society College get a lot of good companies for jobs and internships. The college has a very good placement officer who gets companies twice a month to the college for students. They hold placement sessions in the college campus itself in any one of the three big halls that we have.

Bhowanipur Education Society College organize "Umang" which is considered the best college fest in Kolkata. Movie stars and singers come to the college for movie promotions and performances too. Last year Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam came to the our college for their movie promotion. Singers like Guru Randhawa and Arijit Singh blessed our college fests many times. Our college organizes blood camps too which has a high turnover and there are many more events that our college organizes all year round.

The fees structre is Rs. 40,000 per year which is less compared to many other private colleges offering the same course. Our college has great infrastructure which includes AC class rooms, a big library for students to access, smart class and a big sports room with indoor and outdoor sports options.

If students get more than 85% in the West Bengal State Board or more than 90% in the Central Board of Secondary Education, they will get a scholarship in the form of 100% refund of their first year course fees. Gujrati students have a quota at the college so their annual college fees is less compared to students from other castes and religions.

Our college has a lot of extracurricular activities that the students can participate in like debate clubs, photography clubs, event management, book club, etc. The college has a cricket team, football team, handball team and basket ball team who regularly take part in tournaments.

I don't stay in a hostel however our college doesn't have a hostel. Students need to stay as paying guests in homes nearby. However there is a great number of PG homes for students to choose from and all of them are around the Bhowanipur area. The college helps out station students find PG homes near the college.

The seniors in our college are very helpful towards their juniors. Seniors in other colleges take part in ragging their juniors but students in our college don't take part in such activities. They are really helpful when it comes to giving advice and they are always open to advice by their juniors too.

I had to fill out an online college admission form on the Bhowanipur Education Society College website where i had to enter my details like name, DoB, address, parents name and my Class 12 merit. After my merit was approved, i had to pay my admission fees. After the payment, i was called by the college for confirmation of my marks. Finally when it was done, i was informed about the date when the college was beginning.

The faculty is pretty good and helpful. Faculty in other colleges under Calcutta University are very careless and unhelpful but the faculty at Bhowanipur Education Society College is very prompt. They always come to class on time and are ready to help students with studies and more.
