Teachers are very friendly. they are also very supportive
campus life and social interaction campus is very good.
My branch is civil engineering. my faculties are really expert in their subject. i can now draw a plan in the first year itself.

Dislikes

Principal is very tough not friendly and approachable.

Course Curriculum Overview

we follow KTU curriculum and subjects. although the subjects are pretty good, some staffs make us work beyond the syllabus. midesh sir tells us that we should be competitive enough and well ready for the industry from day one.

Internships Opportunities

i am first yeasr student, we dnt have intership in first year. but we had opportunties to visit well established labs and testing centres related to civil engineering. we have manfdaotry internship in the higher semesters

Placement Experience

placements are ok. many are interested many are not interested. i understand we will get enough opportunities based on watching the seniors getting placed. our seniors are placed in TCS wipro, infosys. civil we have internships and placement in local companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual tution fee is Rs 75000. they provide scholarships based on the plus 2 marks. mt fee is Rs. 36250 per year. there will additional fee os Rs 18500 in first year only. there are students who pay 47500 per year 35000 per year . 55000 per year. ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP. also merit students shall get additional govt. scholrship under merit cum means for OEC, SC studens

Campus Life

campus fest are there every year. good activites. iedc club is very active. nss is very active. sports and games isgood. we have sprts meet., arts fest college day freshers day etc. startuup events idea pitching events etc

Admission

we feel like very welcoming here. the admission director and faculties made sure that i am comfortable at any point of time. fee is affordable and other college response was not matchin this college. eligiblity is after plus two either you qualify KEAM or JEE . even if you dont have these they take admissions on acadmeic merit.

Faculty

facutly student ration will be around 1: 20 something . I like my mentor Midesh sir very much. he supports us and take extra measures to ensure that we understand the suject in deep. exams a re easy compared to other branch. i think civil engineering is comparatively easy.

Night Life

gym is not available. Libary is good but very few goes there. only during examwe go to library. night lif is not there . college mainly daysccholars. will leave by 6PM. beyond that students will not stay . during campus fests or events college night life is awesome.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

It's just a small review

I wanted to take Bsc as my degree but my parents insisted on taking Btech. As I searched for a collage I stumbled upon METs school of engineering. I went there for the first time. I talked to the faculty member who's in charge of admission that time. I got intrested. Then I visited for the second time. I decided to join the college and paid 17,500( admission fee and caution fee). Then after a month and half I enrolled to this collage.
