Staff, environment and Campus

Positive remarks : Campus is very big, and there many trees around d campus so the proper environment us maintained. Negative remarks : Faculties and services are not much better of K J Somaiya copare to Sk Somaiya.

Course curriculum is good. As K J SOMAIYA IS AN AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE so it has its own syllabus which will be partially different from the mumbai university syllabus. For 11th n 12th the exams structure are normal 2unit test n 2 semesters a year. And for degree college there is 1 internal exam and 1 external exam in each sem of respective subjects.

The placements and job opportunities are like, if you cleared your academics without getting a single KT, then only job & placements opportunities are provided to a particular student. And in case of internship, there is a well known organization namely Riidl which is situated at KJ SOMAIYA Engineering Bldg 5th floor, which provides various internship to students to develop himself/herself in future, and riidl's Letter of Appreciation also useful for students in future.

There are various types of event held in SOMAIYA i.e. Maker mela : which is india's biggest gathering where innovators come from overall india to show case their talent, if probably held in January or February of 3-4 days. Binary : an IT-CS fest, in which are technical and non-technical event like blind coding, gk test, CS tournament, etc. And many more.

Fee structure is feasible and expensive both. If some students belong to lower cast families than he/she can have a concession otherwise others must have pay the full amount. But the expense is decided by which course you are appearing for i.e. if you are going for b. Com it will cost you less and if you want to go for engineering it will cost you more

Labs are good for all branches who requires lab, the equipments used are good. The trainers in the lab are good. Sports is well developed in Somaiya. There an organization called SSA(SOMAIYA SPORT ACADEMY) in which we can play many sports like football, karate, taekwondo, table teniss, basketball, cricket, volleyball, athletics, etc

Our senior students are also helpful, they always guide their juniors and always help us in exploring campus of Somaiya, guide us in academics, give info. About lab experiments. Help us clearing the exams by showing the important topics to cleaer an exam

Through Mumbai University, We have to first fill the form of MU to get an admission in a particular college for a particular courses with all require docs. I filled a form of MU and I belong to gujrati minirity so that i got an admission in samasya, just by filling an acknowledgement form on somaiya's site kjssc.somaiya.edu . So it's an advantage for gujrati minority peoples to get an easy admission in Somaiya college in whichever stream we want.

Faculties are good. The HOD and the teachers are always ready to help students and accommodate with students. There are presentations also in case of hard difficult topics, so that it can understandable. But SK SOMAIYAs faculty is much more better than the KJ SOMAIYAs faculty.
