The All-Round Experience at SNGCE

The curriculum covers a broad range of topics within computer science. The college offers placement opportunities and internships to further enhance the practical experience of students.

SNGCE has improved its Internships by partnering with reputed organisations, providing students with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to industry standards. The ICT Academy of Kerala offered an intensive 1-month internship in MERN Stack.

From the 7th semester of college, placements start recruiting freshers.Several companies like TCS, CTS, IBM, Wipro, Sutherland etc. recently visited the campus for the purpose of recruitment. Each companies offer a decent package depending on the company and the profiles offered. TCS offers a salary package for freshers, starting from Rs 3 lakhs to 7 lakhs.

As a student of this college, I would like to share my perspective on the fee structure based on my personal experience: The semester fee that I paid amounts to Rs 43580. In addition to this, there were additional one-time and other charges. Tution fee- Rs 43580 per sem 2)Caution deposit- Rs 10000(Refundable) 3)Registration Fee- Rs 500 4)Admission Fee- Rs 50000(One-time, during initial admission).

SNGCE not only focuses on academics, rather they also give equal importance to other events such as technical, cultural, sports and so on. In the odd semester of every year, the main focus will be on academics, including some events for entertainment, such as awareness classes, motivational classes, placement awareness, and interaction with our alumni who have reached great heights. In the even semester, we conduct all the events, including technical, cultural, as well as sports. Festivals like Onam, Christmas and Holi are also celebrated with equal importance. Our library has a vast area consisting of a large number of books

I applied to various colleges for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. Other colleges such as FISAT, SCMS, and AdiShankara offered courses other than computer science and was also having high admission fees, compared to SNGCE. First, you have to pay a registration fee of 500 and book your seat for a specific subject, on the assurance of obtaining a good, reasonable mark in the 12th. Then, after the announcement of 12th result, we can fix the seat by paying the caution deposit of Rs 10000 for the desired subject. For the same, certain criteria should be passed: 1) The KEAM entrance exam, the student should have a reasonable rank, enabling him/her to obtain the seats more likely than others. 2) For the 12th, a reasonable mark should be obtained by the student to increase the likelihood of obtaining a seat.

In 2025,the department of Computer Science and Engineering at SNGCE has 23 faculty members. This includes faculty members with titles such as Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. In CSE, there are 60 students in each of the three classes, total 0f 180. There are also additional CSE courses such as Cyber Security and AI/ML, each accomodating 60 students in total.

Our campus consists of Gym, a library as well as cafeterias offering variety of snacks and beverages. The Gym offers a decent varieties of equipments ranging from dumbbells to isolation machines and so on. The timing is before college hours ( from 6 to 8 am) and after college hours( 5 pm and till night). There are Men's ans well as Women's hostels in our campus. Men's hostel is within the campus and Women's hostel is next to the playground of SNGCE, outside the campus. There are plenty of hangout spots nearby campus, such as Kadayirippu pond, Kuban Cafe( Pattimattom), Kadayirippu Park, JMax theatres( Pattimattom) and so on.
