Btech as a degree is highly valued, it is one of the best degree in terms of practical knowledge, it gives us actual idea of how things work , not just in labs or offices but the real world, because engineering is just one of lot many things we learn in btech which are far more valuable compared to rote education

Placements are decent in out college, 4-5 lakh is avg package for core, whereas 8-9 lakh is avg for CSE. Though package seems to be less, but the ROI considering that fee can range from 2 lakh to 5 lakh, it is comparitively good

the hostel charges 10000 rupees, and the total academic plus hostel fee is 73000 approx. also around 40000-45000 rupees are charged as mess fee and caution money, the UP scholarship is provided for those who hace family income less than 4 lakh per annum, which depends on category, for obc and general is 58000 approx.

campus life is decent, there are many councils which you can be a part of, also that it is a lush green campus, hence wandering in the campus etc is kind of relieveing. many events are hosted by the clubs, on regular intervals. infrastructure is kind of old , since this college was started in late 1970s. keeping that in mind, there is a lot of development, but still more development is going on.

hostel for first year is really good, especially the Bhabha hostel. senior hostel are very old, hence their condition is not really good, but work is going on to maintain them too. old hostel is being renovated to accomodate more studnets.

i chose this college as i couldnt go to UPES dehredun,CSE. money was one of the reason, UPES was too expensive, ranging about almost 30L for 4 years, which is comparitively very compared to my current college, which is about 5 lakh for 4 years, and if youre lucky you can get scholarships, which reduce the amount to almost half. Other location also include the illegal cultures going on the in the colleges which are on mountains, like drugs etc.

faculty is highly educated, course structure is same as AKTU old syllabus with changes in the topic as given by teacher as this college is autonomous, 2 class tests are conducted before semester exams, so not a lot of burden as compared to other colleges, and marking depends on the professor.

night life is not really a thing here. there are hostel timings, which are strictiers for girls. students usually go for sprts after classes if there are involved in it, or rest at hostel only, there are few shops but thats it, there are only 3-4, hence not much of a night life is there.
