Remarks
It was online and was a simple process because the year 2020 was a pandemic time. The University of Delhi website provides you with all the details regarding admission. You can also look for other details on the college website.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are something that you do not have to care much about even if you are from a financially lower middle-class family. It is hardly 8-9 thousand /year, but yes the cost of living in Delhi, if you are based outside Delhi, is something that you would have to care of according to your financial status. There are scholarships available in different forms at the University of Delhi. You get Prize money as well when you score the highest in your course in a year.
Campus Life
The infrastructure and campus area of the college is something that you would find to be a bit small when compared to those with big campuses. But it has its own benefits like you don't have to walk a lot to move from one class to the other or say to the Canteen. But yes it has a smaller ground, a decent sized Canteen and just 2 blocks. Campus life is still fun because there aren't a lot of students everywhere, there is a munching and smoking spot just 100 metres outside the campus called Mini Market. The library is good, and societies are fine too, but there is no ECA quota. Fests and programmes happen, but mega college fest is usually not organised by the use of the location. It is located in a green area which has govt. buildings. with trees around,
