Likes
- The college had a decent infrastructure and also had a good canteen with welding machine. The college initiates the social interactions such as NCC.
- The faculty members also had a great experience in their teaching and their way of teaching is good also they take the laboratory sessions to make students to gain hands on experience.
- There are lot of curriculum such as communication laboratory, programming laboratory, biology laboratory which improves our personal and professional development.
Dislikes
- The transport is the major one that I disliked because being a days scholar, if the first year students started to come there will be a rush in the college transport there will be scarcity of seats for both the freshers and the seniors.
- Also the canteen has less number of menu andn it is for both arts and engineering students which will be little rush in both break and lunch break.
- The placements drives are ok but still now only few companies are coming for hiring and not hiring mass people like in arts.
Course Curriculum Overview
As everyone said it is a developing course and it has a great scope on future I took a decision to take this course. The curriculum here are very close related to our core domain which will help us to work in the AI companies. The ares of improvement in the course curriculum are they should reduce the theory sessions and increase more laboratory sessions for the students' improvement sake. The frequency of timing of exams are ok not that much difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Students who are in their 4th semester will be allowed to go to the intership, not with the stipend it will be an paid intership where the students need to pay to learn in their field. As I have said in the previous questions all the campanies will internship with stipend upto 25000. Projects such as full stack developments, AI related projects such as Face detection tracing systems, Automatics etc., Some companies will recruite based on the students' projects without interviews.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester students are eligible for the palcement drives but for my batch the companies began to come on our final year.Companies such as Hexaware, Vivnovation, Argusoft, Surya Technologies and so on.These are the companies so far came .The packages are between 4LPA to 7LPA. According to the college record there are 97% students were got placed.If I didn't get placed my plan would be to do the masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first year the fee structure will be less than 1,30,000 which continues for the next three years.For the pre-final year and final year they will be adding some tuition fee for the placement training and for the blazer(a dress code to attend the placement drives).Also all the fees such as breakage fee,any alumini fee are also included in the yearly fee.For the management quota students will be paying the donation fee as the same yearly fee but it varies according to the cut off. For the counselling students the yearly fee will be less than 1,00,000.The scholarships also applicable for the students based on their semester scores and their castes.
Campus Life
There are numerous festivals were organized by our college such as "Tech Fest" which is an cultural program only for the engineering students likely in February. Then there is called "Henosis" which is a techo cultural program exclusive for engineering students likely in February or December.There is another program which is called "Kanam" which is a techo cultural event for both the engineering and arts students.In many news our college has given some news such as in sports achievement.There will be a lot of facilities for the participants.There is a sports day for athletics, long jump, and other sport activities. There are also numerous clubs such as music club, hackathon club, math club, tamil club, NCC club which impact the students' life based on their interested fields.
Admission
I didn't apply for any other colleges because actually I have planned to enter in the medical line but due to my lag of cutt of for the medical field I chose this college because here the fee structure are ok.I didn't reject any other colleges as I chose this as my first college and nothing went wrong. At first before my completed my 12th board exam they said to pay 1,00,000 to lock the seat for the management quota.And there are no entrance exam for my cousre. The eligibility for my course is to obtain 50% above in 10th and 12th and the cutoff should be above 120.
Faculty
The student and faculty relationships are quite in our department. Students can ask their doubts and queries without any hesitation. I almost like most of the faculty members in my department because they really support us to attend any technical symposiums, like signing the no dues, and they support us to our HOD to allow us to attend any competitions.If the student fails to clear any paper in semester examination the faculty members will encourage us to put re-evaluation and will support us to clear in the next semester.The exams are quite moderate not all the subjects are very easy and very tough.For each semester only few members like 3-5 will fail to clear the paper but they will clear soon since our department gave the 100% result recently in all the semsters.The course curriculum also related to our field.
Night Life
In the nightlife in our college there will be a security guard need not to fear off for the hostel students as there are many light lamps in the campus. In our campus there are gyms, cafaterias and libraries to use.Students are not allowed to go off the hostels or campus after 6 p.m. There are one little shop called g-mart where it will be open in the night time also students can buy what they want where the cafetaries will be closed after 5 p.m. Other than that there are much more place inside the campus to roam around at night.
