My college review

At last I would like to say that although the placement is not that great in my college but study environment and the infrastructure and the faculty member was great. The library,the labs the playing ground all was great.

With changing technology the authority must introduce and include some new topics such as AI,IOT etc. Out of 100 ,30 was from internal examination and 70 was from university conducted exam. And this 100 marks would then be converted into CGPA.

I was lucky enough as at that economic slowdown and recession was responsible for low placements but when I was allowed to sit in placements the recession period was over. My college placement is good enough. I would say not so great and not so bad. On the sclale of percentage I would say 60% placement. My college doesn't provide internships.

Lots of events such as 1)Freshers event exclusively conducted for freshers. 2)independence day event 3) alumni meet where 20 to 30 alumni was called for the meet. 4)college establishment event 5)annual day event

Starting from 1st semester it was 35000 ,2nd semester 35500 ,3rd semester 36000 ,4th semester 36500,5th semester 37000,6th Semester 38000,7th semester 39000 and in the last semester 40000 So i would say feasible.

I don't think that my college provide such scholarship or laon facility. Actually if you have to take loan then it should be on the personal ground like I have availed the loan on the personal capacity. Similarly for scholarships also it was the state government that provided the scholarship not the college.

My college was great in organising extracurricular activities such as annual sports competition such as basketball, badminton,cricket,football and some athletic competition also. Some great technical seminar such as hackathon were also conducted in my college. The labs were aptly filled with required equipments and I was totally satisfied with my labs.

In fact in the 1st year I was in hostel. The hostel infrastructure was good enough but the quality of food was not that great. And the facilities was also not good enough. We were provided only with badminton and basketball for playing in the evening despite several others sports fund were also provided.

I would like to give an example for alumni network. On my birthday I recieved the wish from the college by alumni network. And the college also sometimes conducted the alumni meet to help the junior students.

I have written WBJEE exam and throgh the rank I got,one umbrella counselling was conducted in which according to your rank college and department was provided .so I got admission in Siliguri institute of technology.

Barring one or two faculty member such as faculty of my subject instrumentation engineering I think my colllege ,specially in my department,the faculty was great and having sound knowledge of the topics that they are teaching.
