Review of my college

Everything has its own ups and downs. Our college has a very good campus, student friendly faculties, good number of labs, a library with as no of books to fetch almost all the students. The only negative thing about our college is the locality around it. People are not so good in the locality.

Needs to have a relook. The current syllabus is quite old and it needs to be synchronized with the ongoing technological development. About exam structure it is pretty good and students are evaluated in a good way before they pass out.

Talking about placement, it was not so good. one of the reason for it can be the age of my institute. Moreover belonging to Assam, we didn't find much opportunity to sit for the campus placement as not many companies did come to recruit us.

There were lost of events that are organised. Starting from college Republic day celebration then college sports week, our tech fest which is known by the name Abeyaantrix, freshman social, engineers day, science day, independence day, parting social and many more small events.

The fee structure is very much cheap for admissions into our college. The annual tuition fee for Bachelor of Engineering course is approx Rs10k. Apart from that we have to pay around Rs1200 for college tech fest and Rs2300 per semester as exam fees. For non collegiate students a fine of Rs500 is also applied.

Scholarship are offered to students from economically weaker background. Apart from that SC/ST/OBC scholarships are the other options where students can apply for. Also right now a special scholarship has been introduced for students belonging to NER and students can apply for that also

Equal importance is given to sports apart from academics. Right now we have a good number of labs for each department where students can apply thier practical knowledge. Also the college has a very big playground. Basketball court is also there for those interested in playing basketball

Network with the alumni of our college was not that good. Still many of the students have personal contacts with the passed out students and they always try consult them to solve any problem and our seniors were helpful.

I cleared the entrance exam(CEE) and then made into the merit list. There were three subjects to clear in the entrance. After that I was in the waiting list and subsequently made into the merit list.

One of the best faculties I have come across. Very talented and the way of teaching they stick is best according to me. I found it very easy to understand. They were very much helpful as well in guiding me in my final year project.
