Remarks

Positive remark: Standard education in an affordable budget with sufficiently qualified faculty and staff Negative remark: Placements and Social Life can improve a lot, alongwith the college infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is properly structured and recently it has been revised for the course to be more efficient. The exam structure is given below: For every year(from first to final i.e total of eight semesters) there are two semester examinations for each year i.e mid semester and end semester examination. i.e total of eight semester examinations, four mid semester and four end semester examinations. The semester examinations consists of Practicals and Theory Papers and the candidate has to pass both of them separately. Also internal assessment tests are conducted(computer based tests) for every semester twice.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and job opportunities have always been steady in the scale in my college, except last few years but as of now it's once again looking better and hopefully it will be steady for the foreseeable future. Placement and job opportunities in my college is linked mainly to IT sector and private companies though an encouraging number of core sector companies have also been providing with placement opportunities if not any.

College Events

3

There are several events celebrated throughout the academic calendar, there is the annual techno fest 'Horizon' and the grand cultural program 'zeal' conducted which is quite popular among the students here. Birth Anniversary of several prominent freedom fighters and prominent leaders of the country are celebrated through cultural programs. Several national and international calender events are celebrated through organising of seminars and workshops. Festivities and pujas especially 'Saraswati puja' and 'Vishwakarma puja' are celebrated with great pomp and joy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of my college is competent with rest of private colleges in the country and for every semester the fee structure can be categorised under two sections i.e with hostel facilities and without hostel facilities. With the sum amounting to 65,000/- to 75,000/- Rs and 45,000/- to 55,000/- Rs approximately.

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know scholarships are awarded to a few students who are academically brilliant, honestly I admit I don't know much about this field. But TFW's i.e Tution fee waiver schemes are present and granted to those students who are not that much financially sound, where the student is completely exempted from his Tution fee or it is nominal, else it is subsidised either by the college authority or the various schemes of the government.

Campus Life

3

Mostly laboratories are sufficiently equipped if not all. Extracurricular activities are held but in namesake and needs more priority and attention. Sports culture is good in here, Sports day is held annually.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is sufficiently good with several blocks for boarding of the students irrespective of male and female candidates. All the blocks has separate in house cafeteria for fooding. The cost of hostel facilities including food for a semester is approximately 29,000/-Rs. The food provide here is basically dishes of Bengali cuisine with both Veg and Non Veg food available.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network not that much involved with the welfare of the college. In my opinion senior students are mostly helpful if not all. But a freshman will need some time to get accustomed with the conditions here and to build rapport with the senior students.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of my college consists of both aged experienced ones and young enthusiastic ones. Overall the faculty members are sufficiently qualified and resourseful. They give their best to justify their respective subjects for most of the time if not all.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
