Best college.All kinds of events you can think of are present in gect. Last year the tech fest was biggest in Kerala with lot of high profile celibrities attending and performing at the event. Also lot of sports events are conducted here

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a college under ktu. So it is a bit speedy system. Lack of time will be there. If you are too studios then its fine. If you like to enjoy college a lot it's also fine. You have to study atleast 2 days in a sem for a single subject. That means study atleast the day before exam.

Placement Experience

Gect is the college with highest number of students placed. A lot of companies come here for placement from Both it and non it sector. Internship will be arranged for the first year by college. Then for the next 2 years you have to find it on your own , which is easily available

Clear keam, should get under 3000 rank , chose your stream , you can give multiple options according to your preferences. You will get into the stream if seat is available. Without entrance coaching it will be difficult to get in.

You know it is a government college , so faculties are highly qualified but due to lack of time , most of the portions will be incomplete. But usually it's not a problem for gecians. You can study on your own

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?
