Remarks

Positive: infrastructure is quite good and college administration is satisfactory. The students are quite friendly. The classrooms are well maintained Negative: The teaching staff is lagging. The labs are not well maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Getting admission in the course, I got feels awesome, but only if you are passionate about technology, plus we must have good creativity in applied mathematics. The course is all about modern technology in today's communication.

Placement Experience

1.5

There is a counselling and placement cell in the college. Companies do come for campus placements. But rarely we are selected for a job. Even if a student gets selected, he is not satisfied with the salary.

College Events

4

When we get admission, in the first semester, they arrange a fresher's party for the Freshers, but the students themselves have to pay for that. After that there are certain events about culture, religion, education.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible but the college administration is quite strict about depositing the fee on time. You never get any relaxation in fee. Inspite the impose fine, if we don't pay the fee well on time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't provide any scholarship but we can opt for the central scholarship named ' merit cum means scholarship for professional and technical courses'. If we have a good percentage in our 12th class, we have a good chance of getting the scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

We get a good chance of participating in extra curricular activities and sports. The labs are not satisfactory and the equipments are not well maintained and don't work properly. We have to compromise on laboratory facilities.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel is the worst thing, I have experienced in my college life. The food is very bad. The hostel building looks quite good from outside. But the rooms are like cow sheds. There are no facilities like chair, reading table, wi-fi.

Alumni/Alumna

There are mixed reviews from Coll alumni and the senior students always advise to work hard at your own level and don't depend on college for placements. The senior students are very helpful and quite friendly.

Admission

I qualified the state entrance test conducted by JKBOPEE and got admission in the college after ist round of counselling in bachelor of engineering course in electronics and communication engineering.

Faculty

2.5

I will give it 7 out of 10. The infrastructure of my college is great. The buildings are well maintained. extra curricular activities are there. The teaching staff is not satisfactory. But college management is great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
