Remarks
First of all i am telling about positive sign of our college that our teachers are really helpful towards every students. Library have a collection of branch of different type of books. And now i'm telling about negative side that student union was intervaining in the independcy of the students of our college, which i really dislike.
Course Curriculum Overview
First of all english honours neither a easy course. It was difficult for me because i am a mediocore student. Exam schedule was divided in 3part. And syllabus also divided in three years. After the three years of college i was graduated.
Placement Experience
No there is no job or placement opportunities. No, there is no scope of internship. After graduating, we have to leave college. But stipend is available for the poor stuedents who are unable to give their minimum fees of the college.
College Events
Inter college cultural programmes like quiz , extempo, dance etc. Prize giving ceremony and cricket tournament. Last year our college celebrated silver jubilee programmme. I also joined in extempo. The topic of the extempo was women powerment.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Not much expensive, three thousand per year. Library fees was not much expensive. Admission fees was also less than any other college of calcutta university. College union was really helpful. College fees also cheap for poor student like us.
Fees and Financial Aid
Student loan is available at minimum rate of interest for the poor students who are looking for higher studies. Teachers also helped them. Our college offered scholarship for the excellence of the students and also for the poor students.
Campus Life
About lab facilites. i did not aware because i am a arts faculty students. But lab facilites of our college too good. Librarian is really helpful to all of the students. Indoor games like table tennis, snooker and out door game like cricket and basket ball was very famous.
Alumni/Alumna
I know senior jounalist Arnab Mazumdar who is a senior journalist in a bengali news chanel who is a alumni of our college. Senior students were very helpful when i was in first year, they told me the rules and regulation of the college.
Admission
First i was selected through merit list then i was going through a process of interview by our English honours faculty. Then i was selected for the degree course. Many of us joined through this procedure. I had to give admission fees through bank challan. And college was started 2nd july.
Faculty
Frankly speaking teachers were really helpful. But they were strict and also very puntual. If anyone did not do their homework or someone bunk their class, they take initial step against them. But they were too good for us. Always helped us by providing books which were not available in our college library.
