Our college is situated in the jalpaiguri district of West Bengal state. It's of natural beauty, and the weather is very good there with least percentage of pollution. The college also equipped with expert faculties and as many of 6 departments of engineering study.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a very good college with 6 department as civil, electrical, mechanical, computer science, electronics and information technology. There is total 8 semester in 4 years. In every semester you may have 5 or 6 subjects.
Placement Experience
Placement also good. For non core department such as Electronics, Computer science and information technology it's very good. For civil, mechanical and electrical it's not so good, but 3 or 4 companies comes every year.
College Events
Jeclat, Sristhi, Annual sports, Special cricket tournament, Football tournament, Singing club, Dance club, Also some other activities like Jyoti, a free tutor organized by the students of jgec to provide education for the local poor students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's feasible, with as many as 50000 tuition fees for civil, mechanical and electrical students for 4 years and for computer science, electronics and information technology it's 100000 for 4 years, it's so economic.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship that the college is provided is half fee and full fee reduction to the poor and meritorious students, no loan is provided by the college since it's a government college and tuition fees are very low.
Campus Life
Our college equipped with very good facilities labs on every department. In extra curricular activities there are various activities that organized in the technical festival sristhi, sports generally cricket and football are there.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is also good. You have to bear 15000 for every semester for hostel charges, hostel equipped with good facilities for sports also. Hostel organized various tournament of cricket and football every year besides study.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes alumni network are very good. They contribute in the time of annual festival JECLAT, and they also helpful in other regards too, they suggest better way to the juniors and they also take part in the annual festival.
Admission
Through WBBJE, at first you have to clear wbbje and according to your rank you have to go through a counselling process, after that you should take admission to that college where your rank is suitable.
Faculty
The faculty is very good with the capacity of wider knowledge on their field. They are also helpful when you facing to understand something. They are also friendly, guides you for your better future, they are really hard working.
