My overall experience of JIS college of engineering is positive since I had an amazing college life. I Always got the support of my teachers and seniors. Got placed in a very well organization. I learned so many useful skills.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of JIS college of engineering is up to the marks. The have prepared a very well curriculum through which a student can easily understand the subject and can apply the knowledge in the practical work.
Placement Experience
Yes because of my college I got placed in India's two top IT companies. My college also provided a lot of opportunities to get internships in startup companies. I too was a intern during my 6th sem and earned 5000 a month working from home.
College Events
Too many events are celebrated in this college. My favourite one is the convocation which contains a lot of extra curricular activities like cultural programs , sports, games etc. Also there are many award distribution ceremony which happens to motivate every students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. A middle class boy can easily avail it. The payment system is completely online. Fee payment is done in every six month. Approximate fee of a semester is around 45000. And late fine is 1000 per ten days.
Fees and Financial Aid
One of the scholarship I have seen providing them is TFW- tution fee weaver. In this scheme students with a low economical background and good west Bengal joint entrance exam ranks were given scholarships.
Campus Life
There are so many extracurricular activities which happen in JIS. Every department has sufficient lab facility to teach us practically. In sports cricket was my favourite. JIS college has his own cricket team which was sent outside to play with other colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite useful and knowledgeable. We always get our queries solved from the alumni portal. Also our seniors guide us in preparing for interviews and choosing the right company. We also get referral by them.
Admission
I got admission in JIS college of engineering through WBJEE counseling. My rank in WBJEE was around 50000. I easily got computer science and engineering branch. The WBJEE process follow an exam and a counselling process after the exam.
Faculty
College faculties are very supportive. They always motivated me to do something extraordinary. They helped me a lot throughout my b.tech life. They are very talented and always ready to help. I am very thankful to them.
