Remarks
The faculty and curriculum system is well furnished. But placement scenario needed to be improved. Fest and events are organised properly. Fee structure is feasible. Most importantly our campus is ragging free.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our college is accredited by West Bengal University of Technology. So it follows the syllabus of WBUT. In my opinion the syllabus is of old structured compared to new industrial needs. Exam is held in every 6 months which is called semester. Each subject is completed within a semester. Also within a semester two internal exams is held.
Placement Experience
Placement scenario is not very good in our college. As per count many companies have visited our college but the packeges are very low and if packeges are high then their intake is very low. Many MNCs are avoiding our college for last few years or they conducting pool drive including us but not on campus.There is no internships provided by my college as per my knowledge.
College Events
Techfest and Cultural fest are heavily celebrated in our college. We arrange a technical fest called techtrix, a separate techfest for IT dept. called techkrunch, sports event called krirathon and game of thrones. Annual cultural fest called Regalia. Alumni meet called Oitihyo and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very similar in all colleges under WBUT. Total fee in four years is near about 3.5 lacs. The total sum is needed to submit before every semester That means one can deposit the amount is total 8 installments. There is also Tution Fee Waiver scheme applicable in our university rule as per proper documents verification.So, I can conclude that it is not expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college doesnt provide any scholarship or loan facility as per my knowledge. If a student want he/she can avail loan from any bank and the bank will pay the fee of that student before every semester begins.
Campus Life
If a student shows his/her interest to a particular subject, our college can help them to contest in various competition like coding etc. Labs are with with professional lab assistants and modern equipments. Many sports competition are held in our college too.
Hostel Facilities
Our college have no hostel facilities. But we have many students from outside Kolkata. Most of our outstation students live in as PG nearbuy. Mess or PGs are very much available in our college area and that too in a affordable range.
Alumni/Alumna
Not everyone but some seniors prefered the names of the juniors in thw company where they are working. Also they share placement notices and ads in a common group of our college. Many seniors also helps us to learn the techniques to crack the interviews.
Admission
I appeared in WBJEE exam. From the result of the said exam a merit list was made. Then a process of college selection happens according to rank. Lower the rank gets their preferenced college first. A aspirant has to submit their list of prefered college along with department.
Faculty
I can rate the faculty of our college 10/10. They are well learned and also have the ability to make student understand the subjects. They are very helpful and also polite to listen our problems. After every chapter is completed they give us assignments to write.
