Get to know NITK

When I joined college in 2016 syllabus was damn old and useless but now new syllabus has been introduce which is up to the mark and is according to industries requirements. Exams are divided into 1 end semester examination of 50 marks and 2 mid sem of 15 marks each. Plus 10 marks of attendance and 10 of teacher assessment. Total 100 marks for each subject.

College do provide placements with one student one offer policy. Many companies visit the college being a premier Institute of North India. Average ctc is around 8 lakhs. College does not focus to provide internships. It depends on luck if company which is coming for full time employees want to hire interns can hire interns as well. Only few students manage to get intern from campus.

Technical fest is Techspardha in which various colleges compete in events related to various streams like hackathons, robotics, aeronautics etc Cultural fest in Confluence which has dance events , singing , acts , fashion show, leisure games like treasure hunt etc followed by a star night. Sports fest ie Citius which hosts all athletics sports like races , kabbadi, shotput etc

Fee structure is governed by government policy and is quiet expensive as recently govt raised fees to 1.25 lakh. But you can have fees waiver if you are obc , sc, st or economically weak by submitting a income certificate.

I belong to general category and there is nothing like scholarships for us. Everything is for reserved category students. Alumniiation of our college gives scholarships to poor students. Sbi bank in college also provides loans.

Answers vary department to department lab to lab. Some labs are modern with i7 8th gen PC's. Whereas still few labs use Windows XP and 2 GB ram. Extra curricular are very good and lot of them are there only if student is interested and skilled else nothing. Eg dance groups , acting groups , literature group, photography club. Sports facilities are only enjoyed by those who are in college team and few others. By rules there is no such restriction. Mostly all sports like cricket football badminton basketball swimming kabadi chess etc everything is there.

Yes, Infrastructure 6/10, Facilities 4/10, Infrastructure is good and best nad best material is used to build hostels but no maintainance is down and hence they are deteoratting badly. No facilities except costly laundry and 1 tv in common room and 1 tt table and few broken badminton rackets.

Yes alumni network of college is very strong. Alumni association works for betterment of college by providing scholarships to needy and also helps in rnd and placements as they themselves are working in this field.

I took coaching from aakash institute for jee advanced and mains. However I could not clear jee advanced but cleared jee mains and also 94.8 in class 12. Then according to my rank. I got admitted in nit kkr.

As per my opinion faculty is not up to the mark. Most of the Senior teachers are arrogant and not helpful. Whereas new recruits lack knowledge and experience and are on contract basis and can leave any time.
