Remarks

College is good but the placement department is worst due to their selection of companies and just play with candidate life just to make their record perfect even no support is provided after college. And need to work on education quality rather than old conventional process.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Well, here there are 12 courses in b.tech and chemical engineering is one of them. The strength is 60-70 candidates per batches. It is the one of oldest branch in Haldia. There are 2 exams per year means 8 semester throughout course. Apart from it 2 mid sem with practical test and viva exams and seminars in last year.

Placement Experience

1

Basically, the college provides industrial training and for internship one have to try outside the college. Unfortunately if one get an internship for months or more no permission is provided by HoD. TAlking about placement ,a few good companies do come for placement but they take 1/2 candidates and most of them goes to some local industries at low wages. And as a result most of them leave these companies within 3/4 months. And get unemployed. But college shows their full placement even more than 60-70%.After one leave college their is no one to help any candidate, very much unfortunate.

College Events

4

Their are a lot of events. especially cultural starting from annual function, Rivera tech fest, praukti,Rang milanti ,etc, throughout the year with different names and themes. Apart from it sports events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A bit expensive about 5 lakhs to complete a degree program of 4 years. As per facilities ,qualities and programs one can feel it's a bit expensive in academics but can be balanced with lodging and fooding.

Fees and Financial Aid

Toppers of every department get a semester fees relaxation apart from it local state students get scholarships based on tgeir economical condition. And their is facility of loan by banks. As it is AICTC approval.

Campus Life

3.5

The Institute is good for extracurricular activities and labs are not advance as it has to be. their is good provision of sports like football, cricket and apart from it most sports gears are not available. But do available at point of external inspection of AICTC or NAC.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are normal not too good nor too bad but one can adjust in few days. At this cost one can feel it's comfortable with water and electricity supply 24*7 and pay per meal for fooding and bill at first week of month.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, here their is a provision of seniority and juniority. Sometime there is a fight between senior and junior or with locals due to mischeifness.Their is a good network with senior after a point of time they behave just like brother's even after college.

Admission

By WBJEEB 2014 ,I got some about 21000 rank in it and got Chemical Engineering in 3rd round. The process follows verification of certificates, ranks and every important documents needed. Then after have to pay som about 70000 fees in starting(at that time,) for admission.

Faculty

2.5

Well, the faculties are good but not up to that level to meet today's demand. They try and work hard but the limited knowledge are their limitation. few faculties have good knowledge and skills so that one can enjoy their classes.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
