College Review

As it is far from the kolkata city, I feel so many faculty, people and student makes the college as secondary priority. But college has good infrastructure good environment to make the positive out of the negatives

Engineering is really vast course. Along with core subject there were so many other subjects as such economics, management, ethics. There were eight semester in four year course. Each semester there were 4-6 subject and 4-5 practical subject. In every semester each subject marks were 100 , in which 30 marks used to be decided by whole semester performance through frequent short exam, and the rest 70 was from final exam.

Placement cell lacs in their experience, during my graduation there were less job opportunities from my college. Core company job opportunity with good package was very rare. My college provided industrial training, there was no stipend.

There were so many social and cultural activities in my college. 1. Freshers 2. Independence Day 3. Annual Sports 4. Saraswati puja 5. Viswakarma puja 6. College cultural meet 7. College tech. fest 8. College cultiral fest 9. International Seminars 10. Quiz competition 11. Sports tournament There were a lot of events which were celebrated.

It was moderate. With respect to goverment collegei t was obviously expensive. But when you will compare with other private colleges 40 thousand in one semester is not that much high. There was provision for needies to get consasion in fees.

College has a policy to compensate the fee amount. In general it was some fourty thousand fees, but it can be applied to get more consation upto 100% based on marks and family condition. College has library facility, so books can be used from library.

Labs were good, infact interms of infrastructure my college is really sound but bit old. There is always scope for showing your talent in extracurricular activities. College has own football ground, cricket, badminton, basketball court. In hostel some more indoor games also available. College has own gym also.

I am not very much connected with it. Yes there is network, in fact college arrange "phire dekha" for alumini students every year. I heard few people really gets a lot of help from seniors. So i can say it it is a good thing.

Through the counselling process I got Chemical Engineering in HIT. College authority shared the addmission requirements and addmission dates. I had followed the procedure like all documents verification, required document submission, admission fee submission etc. And I got admission in HIT.

The teaching method and subject oriented knowledge of faculties were really sound. But few faculties lacs in their dedication, few lacs in knowledge, few lacs in their teaching method. These negative review for only for two or three but others are really great.
