As a student of the college and an active member in all the college organizations and events I can say that life here is good. People have a life after their studies which is very important and helps a person grow in all respects.

Follows the curriculum of Maulana abul kalam azad university of technology formerly known as west Bengal university of technology. The exam is divided as 70% mark written examination and 30% internal assessment. The four year course is divided into eight semesters.

The overall placement scenario in engineering colleges all across the state is detoriating day by day. Still techno india group offers good opportunities. The computer science information technology and electronics department have very good placement. The core placement is somewhat unsatisfactory but the big service companies like tcs cts wipro offer off campus drives where many people get placed. They also get placed in marketing company like byju's and extramarks. The product based companies coming for cse and it placement offer paid internships for students and they get to learn a lot

The college has two major events: 1) EDGE, the technical fest conducted by GEEKONIX, the science and technical community of the college. 2) Anakhronos, the cultural festival of the college. EDGE is one of the biggest of its kind all over india and by far the largest in the city by far competing with the standards of iit-kgp iit-k and iit-bombay. It hosts a stand up comedy show which is free and open to all featuring the best of best stand up comics of the city. People like Zaakir Khan, biswa kalyan rath, sorabh pant, rahul subhramanyan, sahil shah, karunesh talwar, nishant tanawar have performed here.

Compared to other part of the country the engineering education in West Bengal is cheaper. The facilities that they provide almost justifies the fee structure but being one of the elite private college the fees is slightly on higher side.

College does not give loan facility. There is a Punjab national Bank outlet in the college. The semester fees is paid through Punjab national Bank branch. They offer student loans and many people avail such loans

Extracurricular activity facility is not very well available. The football team of college is very good. Apart from that the college has cricket League. The lab facility is satisfactory. The computer labs are almost new and the core engineering labs are also good

Hostel facility is not available. People from outside the city stay in paying guest acomodation or share flat on rent. Many such accommodation are available in nearby location of Newtown karunamoyee or shapoorji

The college has a great alumni network. The respected alumni are all very well placed in their domain and many of them have settled abroad. The college science and technical committee has their own alumni network called the geek alums all of whom are very distinguished in their feilds and add to the value of the college

Students here join through West Bengal joint entrance examination (80%), joint entrance examination main (10%) and management quota (10%). The admission process is quite tuff and it's hard to get a good rank enough for the college.

The faculty of the college is satisfactory. It depends department wise. The computer science and information technology department faculty bis very good. The electrical engineering and electronics and communication engineering faculty are very supportive and helpful. The faculty of the other core departments are average.
