Thangal Kunju Musaliyar College of Engineering is a good college for studying engineering albeit the system is somewhat like a school. Uniform isn't necessary at the college and students can wear any clothes to the coollege. The name tag is necessary only during examinations.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is updated every for years in Kerala Technological University. I am the last batch of the first cycle of students (2015-2018 admissions) in the Kerala Technological University. The studios that I follow is therefore the old one, unlike the new batch whose syllabus is updated.
Placement Experience
Generally, the placements in Mechanical Engineering department of Thangal Kunju Musaliyar College of Engineering (TKMCE), Kollam are good on comparison with other colleges following the Kerala Technological University syllabus. Not everyone gets placed, but more than a third of the department gets placed.
College Events
Annually, Thangal Kunju Musaliyar College of Engineering (TKMCE), Kollam celebrates a techno-cultural event every even semester. It is the flagship event of Thangal Kunju Musaliyar College of Engineering. There are annual spots events, festivals of the various branches of engineering et cetera. A film festival, TKMFF too is conducted annually before the previously said techno-cultural event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of students entering through the merit list is feasible. The annual university fees are nine thousand seven hundred and seventy five (9775) Indian rupees. The Hostel fee varies between 4000-5000 rupees per month depending on the usage.

The management of Thangal Kunju Musaliyar College of Engineering offers scholarship to the reservation category students as per some standards that includes limited annual family income et cetera. The first years stay at campus hostel and the second years stay at trust hostel.

These include sports like football, handball, cricket badminton, volleyball et cetera. All branches have separate laboratory facilities with adequate equipments in working conditions.

Admission
The admission process included submitting the necessary documents and paying the fees as per the university requirements. There are a number of allotments that grants us seats according to the merit list and our college of preference. Then we take admission on the dates after the announcement of it.
Faculty
Generally, the faculty of Mechanical Engineering department of Thangal Kunju Musaliyar College of Engineering (TKMCE), Kollam have profound knowledge in the taste they are teaching. But the tight schedule set by the university sometimes resistors us from extracting the maximum from them.
